The Hunting Party is getting rather good, isn't it? I love watching the trajectory of a show in real-time; the so-so episodes when it's figuring out what works (and what doesn't), and then the better ones when it finds its feet and focus.

Reacher Season 3 has potentially been an episode or two too long. The season overall has been decent, and there’s so much to wrap up in the finale – including Reacher’s revenge mission, Teresa’s rescue, and the fate of Richard – that it’s virtually guaranteed to be action-packed.

It turns out I’m in the minority here, but I genuinely thought Episode 4 of Daredevil: Born Again was one of the best episodes of Daredevil ever.

If nothing else, The Hunting Party is heading in the right direction. Episode 7 seems to have settled on what works best about the show, much like the previous episode did.

In many ways, Episode 6 of Reacher Season 3 is a payoff to the excellent fourth episode. That was where you really felt the menace of Xavier Quinn, the season’s Big Bad who has largely been developed through absence and implication.

It’s sometimes easy to forget that Matt Murdock is a lawyer since most of the justice he dispenses comes via his fists.

This is more like it. Not to say, “I told you so”, obviously, but after an episode that let conventionality creep in, to its detriment, The Hunting Party really gets back on the right track in Episode 6.
