It was obvious that Episode 11 of The Potato Lab was going to play out like this. The signs were there. You can’t have a romantic enemies-to-lovers K-Drama without the dreaded breakup period, where crossed wires lead to an absence that makes the heart grow ever fonder.

I think we’re all in agreement that Happy Face works best as a personal story instead of a mystery, especially one with some sledgehammer-subtle social commentary for good measure.

Finally! Just like that, a meandering Season 2 of Surface starts to feel a lot more like a proper thriller with Episode 7, and it’s about time.

I’ve got to be honest; I’m starting to lose track of Yellowjackets a bit. Between the dual timelines, switching perspectives, surreal dreamscapes, dark side alter egos, and flesh-eating past and present, it’s getting harder and harder to tell what’s what.

Good American Family opens with a caution that it isn’t intending to take one side of the Natalia Grace story over the other, but that’s certainly what it continues to do in Episode 4.

As suspected, Episode 10 of The Potato Lab is indeed the obligatory one where problems between the leads threaten to upend their entire relationship.

MobLand has such a great cast that Episode 1 didn’t need to do anything to be compelling out of the gate. Luckily, “Stick or Twist” did some things anyway.

How a show navigates its pesky middle episodes usually says a lot about it. You expect a captivating opening, and you expect an ending to provide all the payoff you’re looking for. But it’s rare that your average show has a really stand-out Episode 9.

It’s very much a cliché that the journey is more important than the destination, but it seems pretty true in 1923 because the journey never ends.

Surface Season 2 has been very strange, but with the way Episode 6 plays out, you can sort of see what it was all building towards.
