Hanna season 2, episode 2 tests the personal relationships as Marissa and Hanna grow accustomed to their new lives.

How does Hanna season 2, episode 2, “The Trial” open?
Sandy asks Jules if she saw a car in the morning — “I think someone is back”. Meanwhile, it looks like Marissa is on a mission, seemingly equipped and she returns Utrax.
Your mother is dead
Leo wants assurances from Clara that she’s not going to rip his head off. He tells her that what Marissa told her is the truth — “Your mother is dead”. He claims if she wants any life at all, it has to be at The Meadows. Leo also tells Clara that Hanna did not survive. Clara ends up grabbing Leo by the throat, tears rushing down her face — he calms her down. Clara is clearly not coping well in Hanna season 2, episode 2, which will put her in danger in the current environment.
A new look
Marissa brings Hanna food — she then sorts out Hanna’s hair and makes it blonde providing a new look for the second season. Marissa rings an old friend and asks if Hanna can live and hide with his family. At the facility, Sandy tries to reconnect with Clara — she asks her if she has a name; she checks out her file and sees “Clemency” is her name. Clara is confused when Sandy tells her she can write letters to her family. This scene will surely make Clara more cynical about the facility.
Give me back my privacy
Marissa suspects Sonia is following her and approaches her about it, listing her routine with John and breaking it down. She tells Sonia to tell John that she’s not going to betray anyone because she’s lonely. Marissa asks for her privacy. It’s strange that she stated that she’s lonely — Hanna season 2, episode 2 gives the notion that Marissa wants to have personal relationships, which is why she cares for Hanna.
New life
Afterward, Marissa meets a man who is arranging a new identity for Hanna. She assures Hanna that she can deliver her a new life but Hanna seems more concerned about Clara. Hanna introduces herself to a man named Felix in the apartment block and claims to want to borrow some coffee. She checks out a pill that she’s found and searches for it on Felix’s laptop — a company named “Passway Pharmaceuticals”. She sees information on clinical drug trials and then she leaves the apartment.
Clara versus Sandy
Clara tells Sandy that the girl she left with, Hanna, is dead. She reveals how she tried to find her mother and Utrax found her easily — she suspects Sandy helped them. Sandy claims she wanted Clara to be safe and that this facility is beautiful. The pair argue and then fight. Jules gets involved in the fight and eventually, they are split up and the facility drags Clara away. Felix tells Marissa that Hanna stole his credit cards and fled. Marissa checks out the laptop and sees what Hanna searched for.
Potential romance forming
Sandy thanks Jules for helping her in the fight against Clara. They appear to be getting more intimate with each other and Terri notices on the camera. Hanna season 2, episode 2 gives a potential problem at Utrax who probably does not want their assassins to gain feelings for each other.
Clinical trials
Hanna heads to Charleroi, Belgium, and enters Passway Pharmaceuticals. She claims to be part of the trial but obviously, the name on the list isn’t there. She threatens a woman nearby and takes her name so she can go inside. They give Hanna a pill to try. Hanna asks if Clara is in the building but one of the staff members states they do not know a Clara. The pill she has taken is having strange effects on Hanna as she is asked to watch a video.
Why is she different?
John tells Leo that he’s confused over Clara being different than the other girls. He asks Terri for her opinion who states she feels different. John states if they don’t find the problem, they will have to cut her loose.
How does Hanna season 2, episode 2, “The Trial” end?
All of a sudden, Hanna feels she is in the forest, clearly hallucinating. She can hear Erik’s voice and feels she is getting attacked and starts having a breakdown. She starts attacking people at the Pharmaceutical company, believing they are soldiers; she still thinks she’s in the forest. As she escaped, Marissa picks her up. Episode 2 ends with Terri visiting Clara and sits down near her — “I just don’t want you to be alone tonight”. Hanna season 2, episode 2 tests the personal relationships as Marissa and Hanna grow accustomed to their new lives.
