The opening

The ghosts are still at the exclusive club. Luke still wants to get back at Bobby. Willie shows them the crowd and there are people who are alive there who have paid good money to see ghosts. A ghost magician named Caleb starts a show and sings a song. The band is impressed by the performance.

Sharing their talents

Caleb introduces himself to the band. He wants to know about their musical abilities. He states he doesn’t often come across other ghosts with talents like this. Meanwhile, Julie and Flynn are still waiting for the ghosts to arrive. Nick tells Julie that he cannot wait to see her perform again — Carrie is reveling in the fact that Julie’s performance is delayed.

I can make your dreams come true

The band wants advice from Caleb on how to make themselves visible so they can scare Bobby and settle a score. Caleb tells them their ambitions should be better than that and asks them to join his band. He says at the moment, the band cannot enjoy their audience because as soon as the music stops, they disappear. Caleb states he can make their dreams come true. Julie and the Phantoms Episode 5, “The Other Side of Hollywood”, shows a moment of conflict between the ghosts and Julie — there is a decision to be made.

The school disco is cancelled

Nick tells Julie that she shouldn’t let the crowd freak her out — he believes he has fixed her hologram machine and he gets the crowd riled up for Julie and the Phantoms. Julie gets on stage and explains that she will not be able to use the holograms due to wi-fi. Carrie gets on stage and taunts her and the crowd laughs. She then announces that there will be a party at her house and Nick joins Carrie as the whole crowd leaves.

It’s midnight!

At the exclusive club, everyone starts dancing. Willie gets jealous of seeing Alex dance with other people, suggesting there’s a romance between both characters. Caleb then announces it is the “haunting hour”. Luke then realizes that they have lost track of time and they’ve missed Julie’s disco. Alex believes the exclusive club is some kind of time warp. Caleb tries to stop them and asks about his band offer. Caleb allows them to leave and marks them all with a club stamp. Alex asks Caleb to tell Willie that he was looking for him.

The ending

As they leave, Willie is worried that Caleb used his stamp on them. Caleb wants them to join him and he’ll do everything to do so. The band find Julie at school and apologize for bailing on her. Julie asks if it had anything to do with Bobby and when they say no, Julie senses that they are lying. Julie is upset about how they’ve treated her and says it’s a mistake starting a band. As Julie walks off, the three band members feel like they are dying all over again — must be them stamps. Julie and the Phantoms season 1, episode 5, “The Other Side of Hollywood”, ups the stakes and gives reasons for the characters to conflict with each other. It was all niceties up until this stage.
