Summary
The quality of Maid kept to its highest right up until the end. It concludes perfectly, and although not all of the characters get their happily ever after, they finish at a place that is more than suitable for who they are as people.

Maid episode 10 recap
Denise holds a meeting before she starts a special activity at the shelter. But this time, Alex takes part and makes a speech to other residents at the shelter.
Alex asks Paula if she wants to move away with her, but Paula rejects the idea. Although Sean gets provided with a temp no-contact order, he has his legal team reject the ex parte motion due to lack of evidence towards abuse. Nor is Sean going to give up any rights. Tara informs Alex it is now a win/loss case. But if she loses, Alex will be unable to move. Not only that, Sean has been granted 4 hours of supervised visitations with Maddy.
After Paula agrees to supervise Sean’s visit with Maddy, Alex visits Hank and asks if he will testify that he saw Sean emotionally abuse her. Hank refuses; he is on Sean’s side. Hank proves himself to be a terrible father, no matter what. As Alex takes part in another session for the Shelter, Paula unexpectedly turns up with Maddy. Sean is also outside, and he wants to speak to Alex. After Maddy had a meltdown, Sean realized that he always plans his next drink; so he will sign full custody over to Alex.
With things on the up for Alex, Paula asks if she still has an invite to move with them to Montana. “Can you be ready by Monday?” Alex responds. After she packs her belongings from the shelter, Alex collects the last of her things from Sean, who wishes her good luck. Next, Alex visits Regina and bids her farewell, who in return lets Alex keep a $1400 sweater.
The ending
Alex goes to pick up Paula, but she notices that Paula hasn’t sold her car. Paula isn’t leaving; instead, she will stay with Mical, who kicked out his wife. “I can’t wait on you”, and so Alex and Paula hug before Alex leaves.
Finally, Alex and Maddy take the ferry.
