Summary

Although not that much happens in “Forget Me Not,” Duncan has some very interesting developments. With his memories of magic restored, the aftermath may prove to be the most entertaining aspect of Locke & Key Season 2. Look out for the brief return of a character from Season 1.

This recap of Netflix’s Locke & Key season 2, episode 4, “Forget Me Not,” contains spoilers.

Locke & Key season 2, episode 4 recap

After being shown the power of magic in the previous episode, Locke & Key season 2, episode 4 starts with a flashback to Duncan’s childhood where he apparently falls to the floor and dies. In the present day, Duncan stands on the same spot, but under the belief that he is half asleep, he leaves the other characters to go for coffee. That is after he hands them the Anywhere Key that Eden left behind in Episode 3.

Still reeling from attacking Gabe in the previous episode, Scot speculates to Kinsey whether Gabe was involved in the attack. Meanwhile, Gabe returns to Chamberlin Locke and accuses him of setting him up. Gabe is correct; Chamberlin Locke did set him up. Chamberlin Locke tells Gabe that he can see the parasites on the spine, but unbeknownst to Gabe, someone is watching. It’s Sam! (who is played by Thomas Mitchell Barnet). Chamberlin Locke tries to have Sam take control of Gabe’s body, but sadly for Sam, Gabe is able to overpower him.

The ending

Through magic, Tyler takes Jackie to England, but all it does is confuse and upset her. Jackie tells Tyler that she doesn’t want to fight the inevitable; it’s too hard. Duncan remembers when his brother killed Lucas and doesn’t handle the memory very well. At a party, after Kinsey learns that Scot didn’t get into film school, she interrupts Gabe and Eden rummaging. “Forget Me Not” concludes with Duncan, who, as he struggles with the knowledge of magic, violently attacks Bode under the impression that it’s his younger self. So is Duncan going to have a complete breakdown now he has remembered the magic?! Only future episodes can answer that question.
