Summary
The murder mystery starts! As there are doubts as to whether Anna is in the right frame of mind, the murder at the end of the episode proves that maybe Lisa has more than one enemy.

In the second episode of The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window, Anna bumps into Neil’s girlfriend Lisa (Shelley Hennig). It pains Anna as she watches Neil, Emma and Lisa do a group hug; it seems they’re a happy family. But even worse for Emma is that she’s out of wine.
When Anna goes to the supermarket, she overhears Carol referring to her as “bat-s**t crazy with a drinking problem”. Upon driving back home, she spots Lisa throwing away the markers she had just given to Emma. What does Anna do? Well, she runs Lisa over. Although, that’s just in Anna’s head. Instead, she asks what was wrong with the markers to which Lisa remarks that they have a weird smell. “Bitch” Anna snarls, although Lisa overhears. Clearly, these two are not going to get along.
Afterward, Anna calls her therapist where she claims that she is so sick of speaking that she could kill someone. Whilst she is warned not to mix her medication with alcohol, as it could cause hallucinations, Anna focuses more on her fear of rain. In a flashback to the day that Elizabeth died, it was “take your daughter to work day”. On a day when it was raining heavily, Douglas, who was a forensic psychiatrist for the FBI specializing in serial killers, took Elizabeth with him. Elizabeth was accidentally left alone with a serial killer Massacre Mike, who had murdered (and eaten) 30 people.
As Anna watches Lisa, she learns that Lisa has two phones. And so her interest is gained! After Emma accepts Anna’s follow request on Instagram, it allows Anna to stalk Lisa on Instagram. She finds a profile “SexyRexy”, a private account that has “liked” all of Lisa’s photos.
The ending
Anna wrongly assumes that Carol is trash-talking her to her handyman Buell (Cameron Britton), and she calls her out whilst waving a palette knife. Later on, hoping to “follow” SexyRexy, Anna creates a sexier Instagram. It works, and he accepts almost immediately. On the account, she finds a picture from five days ago of SexyRexy and Lisa together. Are they romantically involved?
As episode 2 of The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window comes to a close, Anna drinks wine (and lots of it) until she sees Anna stumble around after being stabbed in the throat. Anna calls the emergency services, and after she incorrectly gives her own address, Anna attempts to run to Neil’s house. Her attempts are in vain as she collapses due to the rain.
