Summary
Quite possibly the best episode of The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window so far. SexyRexy is a great character, and his interaction with Anna proves to be one of the highlights of the entire series. With confirmation as to whether Lisa is dead or alive, it’ll be hard not to dive straight into the next episode.

The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window episode 5 recap
Held hostage by SexyRexy, aka Rex, in her own home, Anna lies and says Douglas will be home soon. So Rex forces Anna to text Douglas, believing that he is still her husband, and ask for bread. It turns out that Rex wants answers, just like Anna. He reveals that Lisa’s real name is Chastity and asks Anna if she’s working with her. Just as Anna tells Rex that Lisa is dead, the cops arrive. Rex threatens to kill her daughter if she reveals anything about him to the police.
But as Rex wants answers, Anna doesn’t turn him in. Detective Lane and Officer Walters are at the door and inform Anna that Neil has filed a restraining order against her. Once they leave, Anna tells Rex he can come out of the pantry. Rex reveals that he thinks that Lisa is faking her death so that she can keep all of Neil’s money. He adds that after he and Lisa met (whilst he was a stripper and she was a bartender), they came up with a plot to make money. He would pretend to be her dying brother whilst Lisa would con rich men out of their money.
That was the plan for Neil, but Rex states it became complicated due to Emma. When Rex wanted out, Lisa threatened him before ghosting him. He heard nothing from Lisa until she sent him a message that night. Shortly afterward, Douglas arrives after becoming concerned over her text messages over bread. Anna convinces Douglas that she’s ok; and that she was just worried it might rain, so she wanted to see a friendly face.
The ending
Anna returns to Rex, who believes he heard something in the attic, and they smooch before they have sex in several different places in Anna’s house. The fifth episode of The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window concludes with Lisa’s body being dug up by a dog.
Now that we know that Lisa is dead, it gives the audience confirmation that what Anna saw in episode 2 was real. And with details around Lisa coming to light, does it make Neil the prime suspect once again? Possibly! But there’s sure to be some unexpected twist around the corner.
