Anatomy of a Scandal season 1 – How did Alec Fisher die?
This article, “How did Alec Fisher die?,” contains spoilers regarding Netflix’s Anatomy of a Scandal season 1.

Alec Fisher is a character in the Netflix series Anatomy of a Scandal and is only in the show for a few moments, but the impact of his character is immense. During a party at Oxford University, James Whitehouse and Tom Southern are best friends. When James goes to find Tom, he finds him on a rooftop. Tom and his friends, including Alec Fisher, are doing drugs. And not just any drug, like a bit of weed. This is heroin, an opioid drug made from morphine made from opium poppy plants. (The reason heroin is a raging problem all over America today is it can be cheaper than medically prescribed opium pills, which have been overprescribed for the past few decades).

James grabs Tom to go, and they leave the building. As they walk down the sidewalk, they hear Alec yelling for them, laughing. Tom yells back at him. Tom tells him to jump! He can make it! He can fly! As Tom and James laugh as they walk away, they hear a loud “splat” behind them. They turn around and see their friend lying face down on the sidewalk. They see blood and run, not towards Alec but away from him.

What was the circumstance of Alec Fisher’s death in season one of Netflix’s Anatomy of a Scandal?

When they get far enough away, they are both scared. Yes, their friend is now dead, but Tom is worried because he bought the drugs and supplied them. He is also concerned that he told him to jump and he can fly. They see their “golden-boy” futures are about to go up in smoke. James volunteers to get rid of the evidence. As they go their separate ways, James throws out the heroin. But why would he put himself in the position?

You can argue that James knew Tom’s family had more connections, which could secure his future with a get-out-of-jail-free card. Ultimately, he cashes in later from Tom, who is now the Prime Minister, so his current rape trial will not cost him his job. It works, and James is conniving. In college, when dating Sophie, he tells her he needs her to be his alibi for the death of Alec. However, he also used it to protect himself against raping Holly.

Yes, James ran from a crime scene, threw out evidence, and raped a coed on his way to see Sophie and secure an alibi.

The question is: Does the true story of how Alec Fisher died see the light of day?
