Tehran season 2, episode 3 recap

Milad struggles with killing someone, as whilst Tamar appears to move on quite easily, Milad simply can’t. So when Tamar heads to the gym, Milad ignores her instructions to stay at home and heads out. Elsewhere, Marjan visits Faraz and claims that she is there to help Nahid with her mental health. But as he’s uncomfortable with her being a foreigner, it seems that he doesn’t fully trust Marjan. Regardless, Marjan reassures him that Nahid will be in good hands.

As Marjan flushes Mahid’s medication down the toilet, Faraz has Ali research Marjan. But Ali finds nothing that suggests there is anything amiss with Marjan. As for Marjan, likely to gain Nahid’s trust, she tells her that she is there for Faraz, and if Nahid wants her gone, she will go. Milad goes to his other apartment, something that Faraz and Ali quickly learn of, and grabs a ton of money and his dog, Chica. And whilst Faraz fails to capture him, he does jot down Milad’s license plate.

Later on, as Faraz sneaks into Marjan’s clinic after hearing that she works with PTSD patients, Marjan spots him through her hidden CCTV cameras. Working towards the “plan”, Tamar allows Vahid to take out for a drive to his flat. But when Milad appears and demands that Tamar leaves, it angers Vahid, and he kicks them both out.

The ending

As for Milad, he tells Tamar that he has enough money for them to both leave. But Tamar reminds him that they can’t just leave, and if he continues to act in this way, she might not be able to protect him. And when they nearly crash, the police tail, alerting Faraz to their location.

And as a result, a car crash is on. When they come to a halt, Chica runs off. But, tragically, when Chica becomes a problem for the police, the officer shoots him. Afterward, Milad talks about how he has nothing but Tamar left and that he never stood a chance. Later that night, Faraz returns to find his wife cooking. When Marjan calls him, she confronts him over breaking into her clinic and asks if he wants her to continue with Nahid. He “persuades” into doing so, although it’s likely that Marjan had no intention of stopping.

As the episode comes to a close, Tamar and Milad manage to make it up to Vahid. And after Vahid allows Tamar to join his table, Peyman seems unable to take his eyes off her. Meanwhile, Ali tells Faraz that Babek was found dead in a dumpster, with footage of Milad close to the area.
