Stranger Things season 4 – who is Victor Creel?
The local Hawkins legend has it that Victor Creel murdered his family in cold blood in the late 1950s or early 1960s. After some questioning after the murder of a local Hawkins high school student, Nancy is told that the slaying reminded them of Creel’s handy work. When Robin and Nancy do some archival research at the local library, they being to wonder if Victor Creel killed his family at all.
There are two Victor Creels in the fourth season of Stranger Things. The one who is currently held in the Hawkins mental hospital is played by the legendary horror actor Robert Englund.
What does Victor Creel do in season 4?
Well, Victor Creel didn’t murder his family at all. When Robin and Nancy visit him at the local asylum, he tells them his story. They bought a forever home with a family inheritance. A mansion in Hawkins. They soon feel the home must be cursed or haunted because weird things begin to happen. Their daughter sees something in her room. The mother has scary hallucinations. And Victor sees a burning bassinet in the fireplace.
On their last night together, the mother is raised to the ceiling and killed in the same fashion as the victims in present-day Hawkins. Victor is then put in a trance and revisits when he accidentally ordered a bombing of a private home in the Allied country of France. That is where he saw a baby burning in the bassinet. His daughter is dead when he comes to, and his son Henry is in a coma. Henry later died, and Victor was convicted. When in the asylum, the memory of his wife and daughter’s empty eye sockets was too much to bear. So, he sneaks a razor into his cell and cuts them out.
However, did you notice Henry’s eyes were intact? Or did we see them at all? Like Eleven, who was taken from the hospital and her mother was told she had died, Victor was told Henry, weeks before, was being seen by a doctor arranged by his mother. That physician’s name? Martin Brenner. He took Henry and renamed him Peter Ballard.
