Filled with romances, drama, and quirky, fun characters, this is an exciting and enticing medical drama.

Ratched (2020)

This one is for the horror-psycho thriller fans out there. Remember the film One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest? This dark psychological thriller explores what happened to the cruel asylum nurse Ratched. This takes place before the film and reveals the origin story of Mildred Ratched. Starring the American Horror Story actress Sarah Paulson, Finn Wittrock, Cynthia Nixon, and Jon Jon Briones, Ratched is a must-watch.

Chicago Med (2015)

Ever heard of the amazing Dick Wolf? Chicago Med is the third part in his Chicago trilogy, following the medical staff at the fictional Gaffney Chicago Medical Centre. We see the staff reacting quickly to all sorts of medical emergencies while balancing their personal lives. With an array of characters and storylines, audiences are taken on emotional and thrilling journeys. There is also a crossover as we get characters from Chicago P.D and Chicago Fire, so this is a great franchise to get involved in.

Medical Police (2020)

Medical Police is about two doctors who uncover a virus that could cause a pandemic breakout. (It might be a bit too close for comfort now, but it’s a good series if you’re not sick of hearing about the pandemic) Hired as government operatives, they must participate in the worldwide search for a cure. Lola Spratt (Erinn Hayes) and Owen Maestro (Rob Huebel) must deal with more than they signed up for when they discover profound secrets and conspiracy. Combining crime and medicine, this series is good for those viewers who enjoy investigation and intrigue.

Virgin River (2019)

Set in the tranquil Virgin River, Melinda Monroe relocates from the big city to serve as a nurse and midwife in a small-town village after answering an advertisement for a job with Vernon “Doc” Mullins, with the hopes of a fresh start. While Virgin River is classed as a romance drama, there are still many depictions of healthcare-related difficulties that a small community could face, both must use their knowledge and expertise to help patients in need throughout the series. Drama and romance are always a good combination.

24 Hours in A&E (2011)

This series is a real-life reality show based in St. George’s Hospital in South-West London, one of the UK’s busiest accident and emergency departments.
