We discuss the Netflix series Inside Job season 2, including the release date, time, plot synopsis, cast, and trailer.

Inside Job, the adult animated comedy series created by Alex Hirsch and Shion Takeuchi, is coming back with the second batch of ten episodes. The show follows Lizzy Caplan as Reagan Ridley, an employee at Cognito Inc., a deep-state organization that is behind the world’s most outrageous conspiracy theories. Reagan, pulling an inside job, is trying to make the world a better place by taking down the machine from within. Her biggest problem? Her father, who is also the head of the company by the beginning of the new set of episodes, after the Shadow Board reinstated him just when Reagan was ready to assume control.

A blood-thirsty Reagan is coming back in the new episodes, and nothing will get in her way. Notice that Netflix is not labeling this as the second season of the show, but rather a Part 2 of the first season. If you want to learn more about it, here’s everything we know so far!

Netflix series Inside Job season 2 plot synopsis

Here is the official plot synopsis:

“Rand (Reagan’s father) is back in control of Cognito Inc., totally messing everything up, and Reagan is ready to kick some m*********ing a*s. If only this annoying deal with Ron Stadler, the mind-erasing genius for the Illuminati, would stop getting in the way. Higher stakes. New dramas. Same perfect cast of secretive misfits.”

Our opinion of the premise

The premise sounds exactly like what one could expect from the series after the first ten episodes of season 1. It sounds like a lot of fun and a natural continuation of the story. We expect more social commentary, smart comedy, and a quick binge of all ten episodes when they finally drop. The trailer also hints at all of this, plus plenty of madness and end-of-the-world situations that will challenge our characters and keep us on the edge of our seats.

It is kind of interesting, though, that the new episodes are coming out right after the U.S. midterm elections, when one could have thought that Netflix would pull a Borat Subsequent Movie Film with this, and release them right before the election to make them part of the conversation.
