Summary
Although Episode 4 of The Sex Lives of College Girls felt like a filler, it still moves some important pieces that set up some future storylines.
In the third episode of The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2, a lot of drama unfolded. From Kimberly (Pauline Chalamet) weighing the option of selling her eggs for cash to Whitney (Alyah Chanelle Scott) staying in BioChem to prove a point and Leighton (Reneé Rapp) getting busted by the numerous women she is sleeping with, it was wild.
It is Christmas time in Essex in Episode 4 of Season 2, and Kimberly loves Christmas and over-decorating the dorm room. Everyone is talking about Leighton and her clematis and how she doesn’t want to talk about it. Kimberly is chatting with Whitney and Leighton about selling her eggs, which she is very excited about. Jackson is being very loud again, so Kimberly and the rest of the crew go to see what the noise is. They walk in on him, putting up a TV without his shirt.
Jackson invites Kimberly over to study, and Leighton and Whitney think he is just trying to bang her. Then, Leighton and Whitney head to get their nails done for the big Kappa event. Next, Bela is finalizing the staff page, which will go live in ten hours. Bela finds out they are bound to reach one in eight people, which isn’t enough for them. Whitney is making moves in BioChem class from the bottom to the middle. Canaan is throwing a big party, and they are excited about that. Finally, Canaan asks Whitney to be his girlfriend. She freaks out at Leighton because she thinks they are already dating.
Natalie arrives at the Kappa party, calls out Whitney, and says, “You weren’t going to tell me you gave me clematis.” Kimberly comes to study with Jackson, and he invites another student to study with them, causing her to get a little awkward. Next, we move to Eric and Bela, who discuss launching her group. While they are about to have sex, Eric sparks an idea in her head, and she bails.
Natalie confronts Leighton about the frustration of not telling her she gave her clap. She gets loud, which causes a stir, but Leighton uses it to her advantage with the head of Kappa. Back at studying, Fred leaves to get the Chinese food he ordered, and Jackson takes this minute to tell Kimberly that he invited Fred over cause he likes her. However, Kimberly is caught entirely off guard.
Bela and the crew throw a wrench in the Catullan launch of the magazine by changing their cover. At the Kappa gathering, Natalie EXPOSES Leighton for giving her the clap in front of EVERYONE. Next, Leighton and Whitney discuss what just happened at Kappa when they run into Kimberly, who tells them about the incident involving Jackson. Finally, the ladies decide they all need to get really drunk.
Leighton comes out to say that she was the reason Natalie was upset and that she wasn’t the one giving off vibes. Next, Leighton busts Whitney going through Canaan’s phone, and she finds something. Jackson approaches Kimberly at the party and thanks her for the help he received today. He mentions that guys like Fred don’t have a chance with girls like her, and she thinks he means it’s because she’s nerdy, but he retorts and says it’s because she’s hot.
Whitney confronts Canaan about what he found on her phone. He tells her that it isn’t what it seems, she likes him, and he shuts her down. Then, Leighton receives a text from her mom to find out if she has been accepted by Kappa. While she tries to explain she is okay with not getting in, a note is slid under the door with an acceptance into Kappa, and she freaks out. Moments later, Whitney was also accepted into the sorority.
Eric and Bela, while having sex, are talking about what she did. However, Eric also hacked into their site. Funny enough, the battle is only beginning with these two. I love these two together. As the episode comes to a close, Canaan breaks up with Whitney.
