Blood & Water has had quite the journey since 2020. Flit forward to 2022, and the African conspiracy-filled drama still has legs, which is why Netflix confirmed there will be a Season 4. Puleng Khumalo (Ama Qamata) and Fikile Bhele (Khosi Ngemahave endeared many fans, bringing high-octane teen drama with a lot of praise from critics and audiences alike.

Blood & Water has been confirmed for Season 4 and Production is underway

Netflix has confirmed Blood & Water has been renewed for Season 4, and according to Collider, production is officially underway.

Netflix would have been crazy not to keep this popular teen drama going. And, with the ending of season 3 raising a few more questions, it seems like the writers have another story in mind.

How many seasons does Blood & Water have?

At present, Blood & Water has three seasons. The first season came out in 2020, with season 2 coming out in 2021. The team behind the series has never speculated how many seasons Blood & Water will have.

Blood & Water season 4 potential release date

A season has been released every year since its debut despite production complications brought on by lockdowns and restrictions. Production is underway for Season 4, but there is no release date yet. If we were to speculate, then 2024 is likely for a release date but we cannot confirm that.

What will Blood & Water season 4 be about?

Based on the ending of season 3, Blood & Water season 4 will continue to explore the corruption behind the sex trafficking cells that have inflicted all this chaos so far. The last scenes of season 3 confirmed that there are many more cells. How will this involve the main characters? At this point, it’s difficult to speculate. The writers will need to be super creative to ensure there’s a practical and logical continuation, but it appears that Sam will be a key connection considering he appears on a computer screen at the end. Either way, there’s a reason the writers left the story open-ended. It was an open door for a fourth season.
