The thrilling 8-episode K-Drama, Somebody, premiered on Netflix.  Based on the novel American Psycho, Somebody follows a software developer as she gets involved in a string of murders surrounding the dating app she and her friends work at. The killer lures his unsuspecting victims in with the app. Directed by Jung Ji-Woo, the series cast includes Kang Hae-Lim, Kim Soo-yeon, and Kim Young-Kwang. Somebody currently holds a rating of 7.2/10 on MyDramaList. If you enjoyed watching the twists and turns in this K-Drama, you’ll probably like the suggestions below.

Voice (2017)

Just like Somebody, this thriller from South Korea also features the workings of a serial killer but tells the story from the perspective of those trying to catch him. Jang Hyuk stars as a detective who teams up with a profiler to catch the man responsible for the death of his wife. The series ran between January and March of 2017 and all 16 episodes can be streamed on Netflix. 

Beyond Evil (2021)

Beyond Evil centers on two detectives who end up working together to catch a brutal killer. One of them moved to a small town in an attempt to live a more peaceful existence, while the other had to live in the shadow of a very successful father. Yet, when a string of murders starts affecting their small town, the two capable officers have to put their issues aside and try to stop this monster from taking any more lives. The series stars Shin Ha Kyun and Yeo Jin Goo and you can binge all 16 episodes on Netflix and Disney+. 

Possessed (2019)

In this crime thriller, Go Joon Hee stars as a woman with psychic abilities who joins a rough-around-the-edges detective to solve a string of murders. Working together is initially difficult for the two, but they slowly develop a strong bond as they start bringing killers to justice. Possessed aired in South Korea between March and April of 2019 and you can stream the 16-episode K-Drama with a Netflix subscription. 

Sisyphus: The Myth (2021)

Unlike Somebody, this thriller features some intriguing SciFi elements. The series tells the story of a world-class engineer who meets a woman that traveled from a dystopian future to save his life. Directed by Jin Hyeok, this highly-rated K-Drama stars Cho Seung Woo, Park Shin Hye, and Kim Byung Chul. All 16 episodes are on Netflix for your viewing pleasure. 

Lawless Lawyer (2018)

In this highly rated K-Drama, Lee Joon Gi stars as a former gangster turned lawyer who’s determined to fight against those who deem themselves above the law. He ends up teaming up with a group of fellow lawyers, all having a personal reason to bring down a current CEO and former member of the mafia. All 16 episodes of this series directed by Kim Jin Min can be streamed on Netflix.
