Yellowstone is the most-watched series on cable television, and that can’t have gone unnoticed. Now on its fifth season, which has been expanded and is airing in two parts, and with one spin-off already complete (1883) and another on the near-horizon, the neo-Western is beginning to dominate popular culture in the same way that the Dutton family dominate Montana — or at least the large swatch of it they have relentlessly tried to preserve against competing interests and the slow march of coastal elitism.
Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 8 teased not one but two assassination plots for the season’s back half. Here’s what happened:
- Rip and half of the bunkhouse left for Texas. We also checked in on Jimmy at the 6666 Ranch, so odds are these two groups will hook up.
- John announced his plans to oppose the reservation pipeline project in support of Rainwater, while at the same time, Jamie pushed to have John impeached for sacrificing Montana’s tourism revenue for his own self-interest.
- Beth, finding out about the impeachment, tried to blackmail Jamie into resigning, but he revealed her leverage couldn’t be used because he dumped his father’s body in the same jurisdiction-free canyon where John has been burying his enemies for years. Exposing Jamie will also expose John.
- Beth suggested to John that Jamie should be killed and dumped in that very same canyon, while Jamie and Sarah plotted to have Beth professionally assassinated.
Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 9 release date/time
Yellowstone is currently on its mid-season hiatus. So, when will Yellowstone return? It has been announced that the ninth episode will air in the summer, but we don’t have a concrete release date yet. We’ll update this page when we do.
Where to watch Yellowstone season 5 online
Yellowstone Season 5 will air exclusively on Paramount Network, which is not to be confused with the streaming service, Paramount+. Since NBCUniversal bought the streaming rights to Yellowstone in 2020, the fifth season will eventually stream on Peacock, where the first four seasons are already streaming. Viewers can also purchase individual seasons and episodes on both Prime Video and Apple TV+.
Viewers in the UK will be able to watch Yellowstone season 5 on Paramount+.

Predictions for the next episode:
Since there’s no official synopsis or easily accessible promo, the following is pure speculation:
- John whispered something to Beth after she proposed having Jamie killed. We don’t know what, but I assume it won’t be anything so obvious as, “Yeah, do that.” She’d be the prime suspect, especially after Sarah witnessed her assault Jamie in his home. Whatever they’re planning will need a little more finesse.
- Speaking of which, it’ll be interesting to see how Sarah’s professional murder-for-hire company chooses to go about things.
- Rip and the others will presumably meet up with Jimmy and the rest of the 6666 ranchers.
- Kayce will obviously start managing the ranch. Maybe he’ll finally get to kill someone this season?

How can paramount plus charge monthly fees and then delay the episodes of Yellowstone. Its the only reason i signed up. All other shows are childish bunk.

I’m very disappointed on finding out to that us faithful viewers are now have to wait until summer of it 2023 to continue watching Season 5 episode 9. We all being waiting to long for Season five to start. I’m so upset that Im thinking on not even watching any of the remaining episodes and might just say the hell with it all together and so long!

You can buy each episode of Yellowstone Seasn 5 from Paramount via Amazon Prime a day or two after it airs for $2.99 or $3.99 for higher definition. This way you just pay per episode instead of paying a monthly fee.
Who came up with this brilliant idea to make us wait like this. You might as well have gone on strike like so many ball players did back when they lost so much support. Every year we have had to jump through hoops to watch this show. So here again it’s a hassle to watch it let’s see what happens hopefully you guys will wise up and stay consistent but I doubt it.
Paramount Network, not to be confused with Paramount+. Right. What sh*t for brains decided we had to have both or would ever care about the difference? I’m tired of chasing Yelllowstone around our nation’s streaming hellscape.. Going forward I’ll kill any subscription that carries it.
