Record of Ragnarok is a Netflix anime series written by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui and illustrated by Ajichika. One of Netflix’s top 10 shows, it follows the possible extinction of humankind. When a war maiden objects to humanity’s destruction, the Gods give humans one last chance to prove themselves worthy of living. What follows are the Ragnarok Battles between the Gods and humanity.

Record of Ragnarok is based on the manga serialized in the magazine Monthly Comic Zenon. It has sold over 14 million copies. Starring Miyuki Sawashiro as Brunhilde and Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Shiva, Season 2 arrived on Netflix on January 26. Fans are already excited about a possible Season 3 following the end of the finale’s match.

How many episodes will Record of Ragnarok Season 2 have?

Part 1 of Season 2 will have 10 episodes, each lasting about 25 minutes. This chapter of Record of Ragnarok is about the continuing battle between humans and the Gods. As the Gods double down on their determination to win the next round, they introduce their hero, Hercules.

Season 1 had 12 episodes, each about 25 minutes. What sets Season 2 apart is that it leaves fans with anticipation for continuing action on top of what they already saw because this season 2 isn’t over just yet.

When is Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Part 2 coming out?

Netflix released the trailer for Record of Ragnarok II on November 22. It revealed the release of episodes 1-10 on January 26, 2023. It also stated that Part 2 would consist of episodes 11-15 and would be released sometime in 2023.

The trailer introduces the characters starring in the new season. Jack the Ripper and Tameemon Raiden will represent humanity. Hercules and Shiva will represent the gods. It is unclear when exactly Part 2 will come out this year, but fans are on the edge of their seats after the fifth-round victory for the Gods.

We can expect to see the sixth round of battle in Season 2, Part 2, as the finale revealed that Buddha will be fighting for humanity even though he is a God. This sets up an exciting match between him and the Gods’ Zerofuku.

Will there be a Record of Ragnarok Season 3?

For right now, it is unsure whether there will be a Record of Ragnarok Season 3. Herman Tømmerass, who plays fan-favorite Fjor Jutul, spoke to Digital Spy about his character and how he hopes it will change in a possible Season 3. He said, “I always think that the people that are evil are just the coolest thing – or the troubled characters who can’t really decide. So personally, I hope that I’m going to be able to become the devil in season three – if I can. Let me be brutal, and dark, and troubled, and sinister please. Just let me go the next level in season three.”

Season 2, Part 1 of Record of Ragnarok is now available to stream on Netflix.
