When it comes to anime, fantasy has always been a genre that viewers enjoy, often appreciating the distinctive storylines and mind-blowing fights. However, with its crazy name and greek mythology influence, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? is a series that is hard to forget. With its strongest season to date currently airing, this anime fantasy action anime is one all anime fans can appreciate. If you like Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, here are 10 more series you will surely enjoy.

10 Anime Shows like Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? you must watch

Black Clover (2017)

This fantasy action series has more than a few things in common with Girls in a Dungeon. From the lively white-haired protagonists to the magic, mythical races, and epic ensemble battles, they’re pretty similar and still so different. In Black Clover, Asta is the only person to be born without any magical ability, but it doesn’t stop him from becoming a strong fighter in his own right.

The Seven Deadly Sins (2014)

The Seven Deadly Sins is another popular anime filled with action, drama, and laughs. Like Bell’s party, The Seven Deadly Sins are a group of strong warriors known for their different abilities. While this series focuses more on medieval monarchies than it does Gods and Goddesses, it’s still a fun fantasy series.

Tower of God (2020)

While this anime doesn’t have the same old-world fantasy setting as many on the list, it’s still got its similarities to Girls in a Dungeon. Like Bell, Bam is a young, naive hero whose fate lies in his ability to conquer a hellish tower. Girls in a Dungeon fans will enjoy this modern twist on the setting, as well as the cast of unique adventurers with Bam.

Akashic Records of the Bastard Magic Instructor (2017)

At the Alzano Imperial Magic Academy, students train to become powerful magicians. This series focuses more on the magic side of fantasy, but watching Glenn teach his students how to grow stronger feels reminiscent of watching the power system in Girls in a Dungeon. The worldbuilding and unique take on sorcery will have you wishing this series had more than one season.

Sword Art Online (2012)

While Girls in a Dungeon often feels like a video game, Sword Art Online actually is one. In this series, Kirito Kirigaya finds himself trapped inside an immersive reality adventure game. The only way to break out is to defeat every level, but if you die in the game, you die in real life. Although this series technically takes place in modern times, the game has more of an old-world setting, like Girls in a Dungeon.

Sword Oratoria (2017)

Considering this series is a spin-off of Girls in a Dungeon, it definitely feels like a no-brainer. Instead of following Bell and his friends, this anime is about Ais Wallenstein and the Loki Familia as they explore a dungeon in the Tower of Babel. With many familiar characters, it’s a side story worthy of standing up to the original. It also gives fans a chance to under Ais better as well.

Made in Abyss (2017)

Don’t let the adorable animation of this anime fool you. For as cute as it looks, Made in Abyss is a dark fantasy series that will hurt you just as must as it will captivate you with its unmatched narrative ability. In this series, aspiring explorer Riku hopes to find her mother by traveling into the dangerous layers of the Abyss. The only problem is after a certain floor, those who venture into the Abyss literally cannot travel back to the surface. It’s like a much edgier version of Girls in a Dungeon.

Fairy Tail (2009)

One of the most popular fantasy animes of all time, this action fantasy is sure to captivate Girls in a Dungeon fans with its flashy fights, worldbuilding, and plenty of strong women. In this world, guilds are similar to familias. Plus, there are also plenty of mythological monsters like those often found in the dungeon. It’s the kind of series that fans of the fantasy genre will love.

The Rising of the Shield Hero (2019)

Iwatani Naofumi finds his life turned upside down when he’s summoned to an alternate world as one of its Four Cardinal Heroes. Gifted with the weakest weapon, Naofumi must train if he’s going to be any help against the hoards of monsters that plague this world. Much like Girls in a Dungeon, the leveling system in this series is very similar to that of a video game, which is a fun touch. If Bell is your favorite part of the anime, you’ll love watching Naofumi work his way up to being a natural leader.

KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World (2016)

This isekai anime almost feels like a more comedic version of Girls in a Dungeon. It has a similar dynamic between goddess and adventurer. It also has the same sort of leveling up with game mechanics. In this series, Kazuma Satou wakes up in a new fantasy world and, like Bell, must level up from the bottom while trying to support his family.
