Encouraged by friends and family, he would throw himself into becoming professionally trained in the culinary arts. It was here that fate would step in, with chef Vikas Khanna finding the young chef on Instagram and inviting him to become part of the show.

Nayanjyoti’s father, a farmer, was hesitant to allow his son to go, but thankfully he would eventually understand his son’s desire and allow him to compete.
