Here is our recap of the Netflix series Manifest Season 4 Episode 15, “Throttle,” which contains spoilers.

In part 2’s strongest episode so far, Zimmer’s (Patricia Mauceri) actions reach peak stupidity while Ben (Josh Dallas) makes a grave error with irreversible consequences.

An unexpected medical emergency leads Mick (Melissa Roxburgh) to escape the D.C. and abandon the lifeboat. The likelihood of the 828-ers surviving the Death Date is lower than ever.

Manifest Season 4 Episode 15 Recap

Daly’s blood creating a red river only fueled further hate for passengers among the general public. Inside the safe house, Georgia ran; people are getting scared and thinking of running off. Amuta, the co-pilot, insists that their best bet is to continue hiding and laying low.

At the detention center, Ben is trying his best to convince Director Zimmer of how dangerous Angelina is and suggests they use Saanvi’s serum to neutralize her powers. Frustratingly, Zimmer has no interest in listening to anything Ben Stone has to say on the matter.

Zimmer’s deal with Angelina

But Zimmer’s actions go beyond infuriating in the next scene. Not only is she refusing to heed Ben’s warning, but she made a deal with Angelina. She wants her to use her powers to convince the other missing 828-ers to turn themselves in.

Among the chaos, Steve Stone goes to visit his daughter and slips Mick a note from Olive with something TJ might be able to help decipher. Sadly, Grandpa Stone collapses from a stroke halfway through his visit.

Whatever Angelina projected to Amuta worked as the man turned himself in. However, he does demand to see his old friend, Daly. And our favorite villain, Zimmer, refuses his request but fails to tell him about the pilot’s demise.

One beloved character who’s been MIA up until now, TJ, is back. He’s in the detention center in the same group as Eagan. The two make an unlikely alliance and set out on a quest to find Angelina, aided by Polly’s boyfriend, who is still working undercover as the janitor.

After talking to Amuta, Ben realizes the rest of the safe-house passengers are in danger of being captured. He decides to talk to the press in an attempt at getting a secret code out, warning them.

Ben’s plan worked, and by the time the Registry’s men arrive at the safe house, all the passengers were gone. However, during his touching speech, someone from the crowd throws a rock at poor Ben. The hate against 828-ers knows no bounds.

How does Mick escape the D.C.?

Wanting to know what happened to her dad after his collapse, Mick lies to Zimmer about having a Calling so she can leave the facility with Jared and learn more. On the outside, Mick asks for Drea’s help to remove her tracker and drive around with it for a few hours.

She receives some devastating news at the hospital. Her father survived, but he’ll need long-term round-the-clock care.

After her dad’s discharge, Michaela decides to follow a river stream Calling she initially dismissed as unimportant. As it’s close to her 5 pm curfew, she’s about to become a fugitive, and Jared decides to go with her.

The two kiss and it seems they’re finally getting back together (now that Zeke is dead and Glow Zeke is also gone). Drea catches Mick and Jared kissing, but she seems ok with it as her fling with him was only a friends-with-benefits type deal.

To no one’s surprise, Zimmer never planned on keeping her end of the bargain with Angelina. Instead, she orders Saanvi to surgically remove the Omega Sapphire from her arm.

Before Saanvi can do anything, the sapphire melts itself into Angelina’s bloodstream, making it impossible to extract without killing her.

How did Ben stop the Callings?

Ben, who was hiding in Saanvi’s medical room, seizes the opportunity to inject a restrained and unconscious Angelina with the calling-stopping serum. As soon as he injects her, an earthquake is triggered, and every single passenger suffers from intense pain and a brief loss of consciousness.

When they wake up, they all share the same rash Saanvi got when she got rid of her callings. And Saanvi soon confirms her worst fears. Everyone’s Callings are gone.

Manifest Season 4 Episode 15 Ending Explained

The second unlikely alliance of the episode forms when Eagan takes advantage of the chaos and helps Angelina escape. The two make their way to the new safe house where the remaining fugitives were hiding.

Learning about the loss of passenger callings doesn’t dissuade Mick and Jared from their running-away-with-Dad plan. We do, however, learn that Drea has been hiding her true feelings from the two of them.

At the D.C., Saanvi, Ben, and TJ come to a shocking discovery. There’s an active volcano underneath New York City. And the river turning red is a sign it’s getting ready to erupt.

Before the three of them can talk more, Zimmer shows up and forces Saanvi away. She’s being transferred to an unknown location.
