Deadloch Season 1 Episode 7 Recap
We pick right up at the festival with a diving team in the water looking for bodies when Detective Redcliffe says it was the sixth body they have found in the water. James informs them that all six bodies have the same slice of the throat and cut-out tongue as the rest of the bodies found over the last few weeks.
How long have the bodies been in the water?
James announces to the team that all six men have only been dead for 48 hours. While Redcliffe and Dulcie can’t believe it, James doubles down saying that the decomposition of the bodies reveals they haven’t been dead that long. However, Dulcie brings in a second opinion in Kate, who says that the bodies have been frozen and could have been dead for years.
What evidence does Dulcie have that Skye O’Dwyer is not the killer?
After getting off the phone with the commissioner, Dulcie realizes that Sky couldn’t have killed Jeff Haddock because Skye had lived in London three years ago when Jeff was murdered. She and Cath visited Skye in London, and she can prove they were together while Jeff died.
After finding new evidence, Dulcie and Redcliffe bring Victoria O’Dwyer in for questioning because they discovered that Sam beat Victoria almost to death. While at the station, Victoria admits to killing Sam O’Dwyer, but that doesn’t align with how he died. It leads Dulcie and Redcliffe to bring everyone else to question their whereabouts that night.
Who is Dolph Lathan’s father?
The pubic hair returned negative as a match to Skye O’Dwyer, but it matched someone else, and after some digging by Kate, they realized that it was a match to a teenager. After putting two and two together, Dulcie realizes that Sam O’Dwyer was having an affair with Vanessa when she was 15, and he is the father of Dolph.
Phil McGangus has taken matters into his own hands, calling an emergency meeting and making him caretaker mayor. As a result, he gets a bus and is hiding every man over 17 somewhere hidden until the killer is arrested. The commissioner has entered the fray and told Dulcie and Redcliffe he is taking over the case.
Deadloch Season 1 Episode 7 Ending Explained
Abby found more evidence where they discovered the bodies in the water. A car was at the bottom of the water and Victoria’s shoe was inside it. They ran the VIN on the car, and it belongs to William Caruthers, Margaret’s brother, who we see is on the bus just leaving town.
