Summary

Another thrilling yet informative episode that gives viewers further insight into the world of Jujutsu Kaisen and helps it all make sense.

We recap the Crunchyroll anime series Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 2, “Hidden Inventory 2,” which contains spoilers.

Jujutsu Kaisen’s Season 2 premiere did not disappoint last week, giving fans a much-awaited glimpse into Gojo’s (voiced by Yuichi Nakamura) past as a student of Tokyo Jujutsu High.

While it seems he was just as obnoxious as a teenager as he is as an instructor, it’s clear that Gojo was equally as talented back then as well.

What’s also clear is that his relationship with a fellow student, Suguru Geto (voiced by Takahiro Sakurai), was significantly different, with their ideals clashing despite their close friendship.

It will be interesting to see just how their differing ideals come between them, especially now that they’ve been tasked with carrying out a critical mission to retrieve the Star Plasma Vessel together.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 2 Recap

The episode opens with Geto in a now-destroyed apartment sipping tea. He sits on the couch across from the Star Plasma Vessel as a Q member named Kokun begs for mercy in the midst of being attacked by a cursed spirit.

He threatens that another member named Bayer will come after them if he is harmed, but Geto then shows Kokun a picture of Bayer incapacitated by Gojo.

Who is Toji Fushiguro?

Toji Fushiguro is a former member of the infamous Zenin family currently working for the Star Religious Group against Gojo.

He is also the father of Megumi Fushiguro, a friend and classmate of Yuji Itadori in the main timeline.

Who is Riko Amanai?

Riko Amanai is a 14-year-old student at Renchoku Girls’ Junior High who has been determined to be the Star Plasma Vessel for Master Tengen in 2006.

What cursed techniques does Satoru Gojo wield?

According to Toji, Satoru Gojo is the first member of his family to hold both the Six Eyes and Limitless cursed techniques in over one hundred years.

The Six Eyes allows him to see the flow of cursed energy and read cursed techniques, while Limitless gives him the ability to manipulate and distort space.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 2 Ending Explained

As Gojo attempts to take Riko back to Jujutsu High, they are attacked by a curse user who can create clones of himself. Despite this, Gojo is able to defeat the attacker fairly easily using several of his own techniques.

The episode ends with Riko receiving a picture of Kuroi tied up somewhere unknown.

Jujutsu Kaisen is never anything, if not entertaining, especially when it comes to watching Gojo fight. One of my biggest issues with season one is that there was almost too much information to try to process and make sense of.

So far, these flashback episodes have actually helped to make more sense of things like lore, cursed techniques, and even some of the characters’ family dynamics.

This episode balances information with action well, making sure it’s never dull or drags, even during an explanation. While I figured this arc would be entertaining, I wasn’t expecting to enjoy myself as much as I am.

It’s almost disappointing knowing it will only last five episodes, as it seems to be holding its own well against the present-day story.
