Chainsaw Man (2022)
This highly anticipated series was a breakout hit in 2022, and for good reason. Like Jujutsu Kaisen, there’s plenty of gore and action, but there’s also a layered plot that helps keep viewers’ attention from week to week as they follow Denji on his journey as a hybrid devil hunter.
Hell’s Paradise (2023)
Gabimaru the Hollow is a ninja known for his extraordinary abilities and indifferent attitude, seeking a pardon for his crimes. In order to do so, he must travel to a mysterious island to obtain the elixir of life. Once he arrives, he finds the island overflowing with strange monsters and demons. Fans of the mystery in Jujutsu Kaisen will enjoy trying to decipher the story behind the monsters on this island.
Demon Slayer (2019)
You can’t compound a list of demon-slaying animes without including Demon Slayer itself. Although less modern than Jujutsu Kaisen, fans of righteous characters like Yuji will enjoy watching Tanjiro navigate dangerous lands in an effort to find a cure for his half-demon sister.
Bleach (2004)
This long-running supernatural anime recently made one of the biggest comebacks ever. In it, the newly appointed soul reaper, Ichigo Kurosaki, is tasked with eradicating the hollows that plague his town. It’s the perfect series for fans looking for a long binge.
Beyond the Boundary (2013)
Mirai Kuriyama is a spirit warrior whose clan was known for using blood as their main weapon against the youmu. After a rare encounter with her classmate, Akihito Kanbara, reveals him to be a half-youmu, she makes it her goal to try and kill him, albeit unsuccessfully.
Despite the monsters and action, the budding relationships of the characters in this series will remind fans of the lighter sides of Jujutsu Kaisen for sure.
Yu Yu Hakusho (1992)
This popular action series is considered a classic amongst many anime fans. Despite its age, Yu Yu Hakusho remains one of the best supernatural series available. In it, recently deceased Yuusuke Urameshi gets a second chance by fighting evil entities in the real world as a Spirit Detective in order to regain his humanity. It feels a bit similar to Yuji’s journey to locate all of Sukuna’s fingers.
Blue Exorcist (2011)
Orphan Rin Okumura has recently learned that his birth father, Satan, wishes for him to return to hell. Instead of turning down a path of evil, Rin decides to defy his father, training to become an exorcist. Fans of the school aspect of Jujutsu Kaisen will enjoy watching Rin learn to become an exorcist while still getting plenty of action as well.
Devilman Crybaby (2018)
This series is a must-watch for fans whose favorite part of Jujutsu Kaisen is the main character. Like Yuji, the soft-hearted Akira Fudou has recently found himself as the physical host to a demon entity. With his newfound powers, he seeks to save his family and friends from the threat of other demons looking to corrupt and destroy humanity.
Blood Blockade Battlefront (2015)
In Hellsalem’s Lot, humans and demons cohabit freely while the secret organization, Libra, is tasked with making sure nothing goes awry. After obtaining the “All Seeing Eyes of God” at the expense of his sister’s eyesight, Leonardo Watch heads to Hellsalem’s Lot in an effort to find the answers he needs to cure her.
While the demons in this series walk the streets like regular people, Libra still operates similarly to Jujutsu Sorcerers, trying to keep the peace behind the scenes.
