Who is Alex Snell from Too Hot to Handle Season 5

Who is Alex Snell from Too Hot to Handle Season 5? We discuss a dating competitor from the popular Netflix reality series.

Netflix’s steamy reality show has returned for a fifth season, bringing a new batch of unsuspecting young people on board and then springing on them that they’ve signed up for several weeks of hanging out with each other and maintaining a purely platonic relationship and not sleeping with one another.

If they do or engage in other physical intimacy, they will incur the wrath of the always-watching (and slightly dystopic) virtual assistant Lana, who will deduct cash from a pool of prize money.

One of the newcomers, Alex Snell, has caught people’s eyes and is wondering who this self-proclaimed “modern Greek God” is, where he’s from and what he does for a living. Snell hails from the UK and seems quite a generous person.

Who is Alex Snell from Too Hot to Handle?

Alex Snell, 28, is a personal trainer from the UK, a position he decided to take up after losing his job during lockdown. He’s one of the newest contestants on Too Hot to Handle (Season 5). He was supposed to appear in the show during season four, but that got delayed to the fifth season.

Netflix’s description of Snell reads:

“This Prince Charming look-a-like is used to only worrying about two things: his hair and holidays. Alex has masked his indecisiveness under the guise of being spontaneous.

“He’s not breaking your heart, he’s just booked to go away last minute! However, when Lana forces Alex to stay in one place at the retreat and confront feelings head on, how will this jet-setting lothario manage?”

He’s active on social media, using Instagram the most. Audiences can find him @alexsnelll, has over 19,000 followers and posts mainly pictures of himself shirtless and working out, and on  TikTok where he can be found @alexandersnell. It seems he’s new to this platform, though, as he only has six posts and 31 followers.

On both accounts, he describes himself as “a modern-day Greek God” and encourages fans to train with him. One thing he doesn’t specify, though, is which Greek God he thinks of himself as.

Where is Alex Snell from?

Snell is from Exeter, Devonshire, which is in the UK but currently lives in London. Before attending Stover School in Newton Abbot, he went to Exminster Community Primary School.

He later joined Exeter College and completed a sports psychology degree at Bournemouth University. Snell has moved to many locations abroad, like Mexico, but returned to his home country after losing his job. His family lives in Exeter.

What does Alex Snell do for work?

Snell was a football player in different countries, like Mexico, and began modeling in his early 20s, but this all fell apart because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But despite this disaster, Snell started a career as a personal trainer, giving out fitness training and advice to followers.

He developed customizable workout plans in November 2020, saying, “Rather than doing random home workouts you find on Instagram or wherever these templates give you a structured programme you can follow to make progress. No matter what equipment you have (or don’t have), you’re covered, and you can switch between workouts as you see fit.”

He gave away these plans for free, encouraging his followers to donate to the mental health charity Devon Mind instead of giving him money. He wrote on Instagram, “I don’t want money to be a reason for people to not work on their goals during this weird time. You can donate what you think is a fair price, and if you can afford to donate more, then I’d encourage you to do that!”

It was a grand gesture, helping many other people keep fit during lockdown while also giving to charity, supporting them during an overwhelming time.

In his Instagram bio, he’s got a link to J’adore Models, a modeling agency in the UK, which Snell likely does work for.
