As we inch closer to the finale of Joe Pickett Season 2, Joe and Marybeth start to unpack more information surrounding a mysterious seventh member of the wolf pack. As this happens, Shannon faces off with someone that has his eyes on ensuring she keeps her mouth shut.
Joe Pickett Season 2 Episode 8 Recap
We have shifted to six weeks earlier, where the “wolf pack” are in the woods drinking and settling around the fire. While they are having a good time, we see Marissa with the guys, and they offer her a drink. After sipping the drink, we see her get dizzy and wake up the following morning without remembering what happened.
In the present day, we see Joe call Marybeth to tell her the news, and she tells him to go to Charlie’s because this is far from over. Joe and Marybeth sit down to talk to Gloria, who explains everything that happened with Hank and the crew, including saying that she had been raped. They head to the station to talk to Sheriff Barnum and lay out everything they have on the case.
Who took the picture of the wolf pack?
Sheriff Barnum took a picture of the wolf pack. Last week, we saw him being suspicious of the killing of Klamath, and this week, with Joe and Marybeth breaking down their needing to find whoever took the picture, Barnum got them to give him the picture. Once they leave, we see Barnum taking the photo in real-time, followed by burning it.
We move back to when Marissa and Shannon sat down for a meeting to discuss what the men had done to them. Marissa tells her that she is planning on taking the evidence to the cops and wants her to go with her, but Shannon refuses to do so. Marissa pushes back, saying if Shannon had spoken up, maybe the rest of them wouldn’t have gotten assaulted. However, she tells her about going to the police and how they did nothing. Shannon tells her not to include her name in the report to the police.
Who killed Marissa?
Marissa realizes the man she would be turning the papers to at the station is Sheriff Barnum, and she recognizes him from the campsite. So she runs out of the police station, calls Shannon, and tells her she was right about being unable to turn it in because Barnum is one of the bad guys. This was followed by us hearing Barnum shoot and kill Marissa on the phone.
Joe Pickett Season 2 Episode 8 Ending Explained
Sheriff Barnum negotiates with Shannon, saying that if she “gets away” while transferring her to the prison and stays away, she will never have to face charges. As Sheriff Barnum is driving, Shannon realizes that he isn’t going to be letting her walk away. However, Barnum sees a car ahead in the middle of the road. We see Marybeth get out of the truck and tell him she will take the prisoner, and the episode ends.
