Where is Alessia Zecchini Now - Italian Freediver Explained

Where is Alessia Zecchini Now? We discuss the Italian Freediver following the release of the Netflix documentary film The Deepest Breath.

The Deepest Breath is a 2023 Netflix documentary that examines the extreme sport of freediving and one particular story that ended in tragedy. The film tells the story of two highly talented and motivated individuals who found a love of the sport and embraced the danger and thrill of taking part in it,

The highly accomplished diver Alessia Zecchini was driven to attempt increasingly dangerous challenges. On one particular dive, events would conspire against her and her partner and safety diver, Stephen Keenan, resulting in tragedy.

The film is difficult to watch, and the dangers of the sport are made clear, but as is sometimes the case with extreme sports people, they are there for the thrill, and the more they do, the more they push themselves.

The film, by Laura McGann, looks at the world of the divers and explains what occurred on the fateful day that Stephen and Alessia attempt to swim through the arch in The Blue Hole in Dahab.

Although beautifully filmed, the scenes of the divers do start to create an almost oppressive atmosphere, both calming and claustrophobic at the same time.

This article is a companion piece to the film and will answer the question: where is Alessia Zecchini now?
