We have reached the penultimate episode of Heartstopper Season 2. Elle finds out whether or not she gets into Art School, and Tao struggles to handle it. Of course with prom right around the corner, everyone starts to prepare for the big day.
Heartstopper Season 2 Episode 7 Recap
Darcy and Tara are in bed together when Tara’s mom knocks on the door, freaking them out. We see Charlie and Nick reminiscing over their time in Paris by looking at photos on their phone. While Nick zooms in on a picture of Charlie’s plate uneaten, Charlie gets a message from Ben asking if he could talk.
Does Elle get into Lambert School of Art?
Yes. In the opening montage, we see her open an email stating that Lambert School of Art had offered her a place there. On top of that, they chose her piece to be shown at the “Here and Queer” exhibition that celebrates young Queer and trans artists.
Nick invites Charlie and his family over for dinner at his house. Ben won’t stop messaging Charlie to talk to him. Everyone is excited about Elle’s exhibition and heads to celebrate her by finding outfits. As they are out, Nick says that maybe he wants to go to prom and asks Charlie if he would go with him, and of course, he says yes.
James and Isaac sit down to talk about whether or not Isaac likes James back or not. Isaac explains that he doesn’t know how to have a crush on someone and that when they kissed, he didn’t feel it. James comforts him saying that it was okay, and maybe he hasn’t found his person yet. At the exhibit, Isaac converses with one of the artists and realizes that maybe he might be asexual.
Ben awaits Charlie outside the exhibit, where he pleads with Charlie to talk to him. Ben tells him that he is sorry for everything he did to him and understands that he hurt him. However, he knew that his parents would never accept who he was. Charlie gives it back to him, saying he isn’t going to accept his apology because he feels bad.
How does Nick come out to his father?
Nick’s family and Charlie’s family sit down for dinner. As everyone chats, Nick’s brother David begins to make a scene in front of their dad trying to out Nick. However, Nick takes things into his own hands and announces that he is bi, and Charlie is his boyfriend. Before his dad leaves, he tells Nick he doesn’t understand it, but Charlie seems nice.
Heartstopper Season 2 Episode 7 Ending Explained
Darcy comes home to her mother upset because she went to the exhibition without her permission. Her mother doesn’t like her outfit either and tells her to take it off. The episode ends with Darcy taking her bags and running out of the house.
