From having to break the bad news to her daughter to dealing with the consequences of a mission she sent her team on, Joe’s back is against the wall in Special Ops: Lioness. Here is everything that went down in Special Ops: Lioness Season 1, Episode 5:
- The doctors inform Joe and Neil that the surgery on their daughter went well, but she has a long recovery ahead. He also informs them that Kate’s body is rejecting the pregnancy, and Joe says they will have to make that decision later. Joe visits Kate shortly after surgery and apologizes to her for not being there. She explains that her job is to ensure others are able to do what she hasn’t been doing. Joe informs Kate she knows about the baby, and Kate says she doesn’t know what to do, and Joe says God took care of that for her. Kate was relieved.
- Joe and Kyle sit down with the bosses to discuss the mission he sent Joe’s team on. Byron explains that he is lucky that Kyle’s intel worked out because they are able to close in on the men in San Antonio. He informs Joe that she and her team will be involved and that Kyle is in charge. However, Kaitlyn accompanies Joe to San Antonio to keep a close eye on her.
- After touching down in San Antonio, everyone realizes the men they are heading in to capture are harboring bombs. Because of this, the mission has changed to Joe and her team to go in and kill on the spot. So Joe and her team are accompanied by Kyle and Cruz to head into the house to complete the mission. As they approach, everything goes exactly as planned until Cruz veers off the mission to take out one last man. Joe freaks out until she realizes the man Cruz killed had a suicide bomb vest on and was about to detonate. The mission goes off without a hitch.
- After being MIA for a couple of days, Cruz is attempting to get back in the good graces of Aaliyah. She finally calls her, and Aaliyah thinks Cruz hates her because they didn’t return to get her. Cruz just mentions not wanting to be around because of Aailyah’s friends, and she tells her that they aren’t around anymore to come visit her.
Special Ops: Lioness Season 1 Episode 6 Release Date/Time
The next episode is scheduled to release on Paramount+ on Sunday, 20 August 2023. The release time is 3:00 AM. Episode 6 is titled “The Lie Is the Truth” and will have a run time of 40 minutes.
