TikTok is a platform that has made many people famous with just one video that’s managed to go viral, and that’s what happened to Amanda Carravallah in 2022. Due to her strong reaction to Roe v. Wade, Amanda propelled herself into stardom, quickly amassing over two million likes on her account.

But with increased visibility comes increased scrutiny. Unfortunately for Amanda Carravallah, a speeding conviction caught up with her in November 2022 and quickly ended her time as a TikTok star.

The backlash to this video was quite pronounced, forcing her to delete or set her social media accounts to private.

What happened to Amanda Carravallah?

Amanda Carravallah went viral for protesting the controversial U.S. Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, overturning Roe v Wade in 2022. This result angered many pro-choice advocates, and took to the streets to protest. Amanda Carravallah was no different, posting her protests to TikTok, where she garnered more than 2 million likes from all her videos.

Amanda showed her annoyance at this ruling by blasting Leikeli47’s “Carry Anne” through a speaker and posted signs in her front yard that featured sayings like “F–k your God,” “Abort the court,” and more.

Within a few hours of her protest, the police were dispatched in response to complaints of loud music from her neighbors.

This stunt propelled her into stardom, and she received support from Michigan Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib and the American Civil Liberties Union for her stance towards abortion.

One of her videos has managed to survive, making her account private via a repost on the ACLU of Michigan X account (formerly Twitter).

In the video, Amanda summarizes her efforts to protest the decision before a video compilation shows her making custom signs with various slogans, playing loud music, and waving at any police officer who passes by.

Did Amanda Carravallah delete her TikTok?

After Amanda Carravallah went viral for the Roe v. Wade protests, she became a prolific TikTok star. But that changed in November 2022 when she set her social media to private and even deleted some accounts. This was because a video surfaced of her getting arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

This incident occurred in July 2021. The police approached her after they saw that she was sleeping at a red light and drifting in and out of consciousness as the police tried to bring her to a halt.

After Amanda came, the police officers escorted her to a nearby parking lot, where the police tried to conduct a breathalyzer test to see if Amanda was over the drink-drive limit.

When they asked her if she’d had anything to drink, she said, “I had 3 o’clock to drink tonight.” She was taken down to the station.

This was all captured on a video that went on for 30 minutes, during which she directed several obscene comments toward the officers and repeatedly demanded that they give her a lawyer.

She also vomited in the backseat of the police car.

Amanda Carravallah was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving while visually impaired, with a bond set at $1,000. She pleaded guilty and was sentenced to perform community service.

This video only surfaced in November 2022, and due to the backlash, Amanda has either made all of her social media profiles private or deleted them.
