Where is Cynthia Cdebaca Now? Explained

Where is Cynthia Cdebaca Now? We break down the actions of a killer, with some violent acts discussed below.

The residents who lived in Fallbrook were shocked when on February 11, 2014, their peaceful lives were shattered by the murder of Geoward Flores Eustaquio, a 53-year-old man who lived with his wife, two children, and mother-in-law, Cynthia Cdebaca. This murder was done by Cynthia, who killed Geoward after an argument that the pair has had.

This case has brought national interest, and has even been explored in the show Signs of a Psychopath which explained the murder in the episode called “Deadly Women”. But it’s worth remembering the family that was shattered when Geoward was shot, his wife and two children who have lost their husband and father.

Who is Cynthia Cdebaca and what did she do?

Cynthia Cdebaca was a resident of Fallbrook, California, where she lived with her daughter Laura, her son-in-law Geoward Flores Eustaquio, and their two children. They seemed like a normal and happy family to the outside community. But this image masked a dark and unhappy reality, where Cynthia and Geoward couldn’t get along, which would result in Geoward’s death.

On February 11, 2014, the then 63-year-old Cynthia shot Geoward 12 times with a .38-caliber weapon, which resulted in his death. She attempted to go about her day afterward, eating breakfast at a nearby restaurant and even spending the day gambling before the police apprehended her for the murder.

Where is Cynthia Cdebaca Now?

Cynthia Cdebaca is currently in prison, where it’s likely she’ll spend the rest of her days. This is because she was sentenced to life in prison, with no chance of parole until she had served 50 years. Given Cynthia’s age, it’s unlikely that she will make it to this date, meaning that she will be in prison until she dies.

Why did Cynthia Cdebaca murder her son-in-law Geoward Eustaquio?

Beneath the facade of a happy family ran a dark undercurrent, one where Cynthia Cdebaca and her son-in-law Geoward Flores Eustaquio could not get along. The two regularly disagreed, with Cynthia reportedly not being able to stand Geoward, mentioning that she had problems with the way that he brought up his children, her grandchildren. These feelings of dislike were mutual, as Geoward hated Cynthia’s smoking habit. Cynthia claimed that the relationship between her and Geoward was abusive.

When Cynthia confessed to the murder of Georward, she revealed that the pair had an altercation about the clothes Geoward’s daughter was wearing. This altercation grew out of control, to the point where Cynthia lost her mind, and didn’t think twice about picking up her gun and shooting Geoward 12 times.

Did Cynthia Cdebaca appeal her conviction?

During the trial Cynthia Cdebaca protested her innocence of the crime, but once she was found guilty of her crimes she didn’t appeal the result, which led her to go to jail.

After the sentence was handed down, Cynthia appeared apologetic, saying “I’m real, real sorry.”  She grew distraught and the rest of her words became difficult to hear.
