Netflix series Who is Erin Carter? is an exciting, gritty crime thriller set in beautiful Barcelona and starring Evin Ahmed.
The series starts with a gripping robbery in a supermarket that sees Erin stumbling on the crime and dishing out some severe punishment to those involved.
Erin is an ex-pat, living in Spain after leaving the UK and teaching English.
However, the supermarket incident shows that there is obviously more to the character than meets the eye, and the local authorities, and other more sinister agencies, have noticed the unassuming teacher, leading to nothing but trouble.
Erin only wants to live a quiet life with her young daughter, but one of the hapless crooks she dispatches recognizes her, turning her quiet existence upside down.

Who is Lena in Who is Erin Carter, and why is she important?
Lena is Lena Campbell, who was one of Thomas Ramsay’s associates who was involved in the Harwich job. Lena is the biological mother of Harper, who we are initially led to believe is Erin’s daughter.
Lena would have no choice but to take the five-year-old Harper to meetings with Ramsay, but she always planned to make an escape after the job was done. The final job would allow her the chance to escape to Spain and start a new life.
The police raid on the hideout, instigated by information that Erin had gathered, led to a deadly shootout, and Erin believed Lena to be dead. She would then take care of young Harper, taking her to Spain to begin a new life away from the madness of the previous year.
However, Lena was not dead, and the supermarket incident led to her realizing what happened after the police raid. This all leads to a deadly and violent reunion and confrontation between Erin, Lena, and Harper.
Who plays Lena in Who is Erin Carter?
The part of Lena is played by Irish actor Denise Gough, and she is the seventh of twelve children.
She describes her mother as being “pregnant for nine and a half years.”
Her first role was in the popular BBC TV injury of the week soap opera Casualty, which she would land after winning a place at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in Wandsworth.

In 2015 she would receive rave reviews for her portrayal of a recovering drug addict in People, Places and Things at the National Theatre.
