Alysha Duran was a woman who lived her life in Colorado, USA. But her life would come to a shocking end on July 25, 2023, when a run-in with the police had a tragic ending. The police officer who fired the shot that killed Alysha has been identified as Officer N. Adams. An investigation into his actions on July 25 has been opened but has yet to be completed.

Who is Alysha Duran, and what has happened to her?

Alysha Duran, 46, was born in May 1977 in Denver, Colorado, but spent much of her life in Broomfield, Colorado. She attended Centaurus High School and had a fun-loving personality, which was captured in photographs.

On July 25, 2023, a police officer killed 46-year-old Alysha Duran while he was trying to get her to explain why she had stopped her car on the wrong side of the road.

The situation became complicated when Alysha seemingly refused to answer questions the police asked them, and she appeared to draw a gun. In response to this, the police drew their weapons, and one of them opened fire on Alysha.

What did the police bodycam footage reveal, and who shot Alysha Duran?

After the event that resulted in Alysha Duran’s death, bodycam footage of the incident surfaced online. It began with the police arriving at the scene where Alysha had stopped her car in the middle of the road and faced another vehicle. What caused Alysha to stop in this manner is unknown.

After the police spoke to the other driver, they approached Alysha as she sat in her car alone. She seemed to ignore police orders to roll down her window, taking several moments before she eventually complied with the request. When the officer asked if Alysha was OK and what had happened, Alysha grabbed her pendant necklace and began to rub it. The exchange quickly escalated as the officer spotted a gun next to her:

“What have you got in there? What have you got in there? Oh f***,” the officer yelled after finding the firearm.

In response, the officer ran to the back of the car and drew his gun, which is a common police technique that’s used when the police believe they are in danger.

After waiting for a few seconds, the police officer opened fire. The shot smashed through the rear driver’s sea window and hit Alysha. The bullet passed through her and landed in the windshield of an innocent bystander’s car.

The officer who opened fire on Alysha Duran was identified as Officer N. Adams. He’s worked in the police force for 25 years. After the incident, Officer Adams was placed on administrative leave while an investigation into his actions took place. Not much is known about his personal life.
