Who is Bryce Dickey and Where is He Now

Bryce Dickey is the Nevada man convicted of a murder in March 2020. The tragic story would shock the small community of Spring Creek, who could not believe the events that had occurred. This investigatory article will describe who he is and where he is now, and we must warn that reader discretion is advised.

Shockingly, the case would involve two friends who had known each other for many years, from a community where everyone knows everyone else, and this kind of crime is the furthest from anyone’s mind.

The following article will take a look at some of the facts that surround the terrible crime.

Who is Bryce Dickey, and what murder did he commit?

Twenty-year-old Bryce Dickey was a friend to 16-year-old Gabrielle “Britney” Ujlaky, who considered him to be like a big brother. The two would meet at the local rodeo. Gabrielle had a love of horses and horse riding and would often be seen together by other friends.

However, despite their friendship, it seemed that Dickey wanted more from Gabrielle. Dickey, 18, would pick Gabrielle up from Angel Park in Elko and be the last person to see the young girl alive.

He would claim that they would drive around after picking her up, and then she requested to be dropped off at Spring Creek High School, where she was meeting another friend. Bryce would state that after dropping her off, she would be picked up by a man in a cowboy hat in a green pickup.

This story seemed designed to throw the investigation off track, and no pickup like the one he described was ever found, with prosecutors stating it was a fabricated story made up by Dickey. Later, CCTV would show that Dickey’s car had, in fact, driven by the school car park, going in the other direction, contradicting his story.

Gabrielle’s body would be found days later in Burner Basin, wrapped in a blue plastic sheet, with a single stab wound to her neck. Gabrielle had been raped and murdered. Police would question Dickey about the case and become suspicious as his account of details would change. Finally, a search at the scene of the crime would uncover a condom that contained Dickey’s DNA.

His DNA would also be found under Gabrielle’s nails and on her neck. A police investigation would also uncover a pair of work boots at his home, and there would be some traces of blood on the boots that further linked him to the murder. A similarly stained sweatshirt was also found, as well as a weapon, a knife, that may have been the one used to stab Gabrielle in the neck,

Dickey would state that the pair had consensual sex on the day, but after a trial that lasted over a week, he was eventually convicted of first-degree murder and sexual assault with a deadly weapon.

Where is Bryce Dickey now?

After being convicted, Dickey was incarcerated at the Lovelock Correctional Centre in Nevada,

After an initial trial, jurors would take four hours of deliberation before returning with a guilty verdict.

Sentencing was then arranged for a later date. He was sentenced to life imprisonment with the possibility of parole after seventy years.
