Prime Video has dropped Totally Killer, a horror-comedy directed by Nahnatchka Khan and perfect for the spooky season that has been called a cross between Halloween and Back to the Future. You can read our extensive coverage of the film and its production elsewhere on the site, but this article is another that focuses on one of the stars of the film. So if you have enjoyed the film and are just looking for a little extra background information, here’s some more detail on one of the key characters, Chris Dubusage.
The story takes place in two time zones and follows Jamie, who unwittingly returns to the 1980s and tries to stop the serial killer known as The Sweet Sixteen Killer from going on his murder spree.
It’s a fun but violent romp that mixes two genres and embraces its own silliness while providing some scares and a twist ending.
Major spoilers ahead, you have been warned.

In the film, Chris runs his own ghoulish tours in town for tourists who come to learn more about the killer. His tours take them to the locations where the original murders occurred.
When The Sweet Sixteen Killer returns after 35 years, Chris finds people are taking an interest in his investigation.
The Sweet 16 Killer’s latest victim, Jamie’s mother, Pam, had been in contact with Chris and people would gossip that the two were having an affair but Pam was really only interested in finding out more about the killer.
Of course, the time-traveling aspect of the film leads to events changing and some convoluted plot points.
When Chris realizes that Jamie is in 1987, he attacks Amelia and uses the time machine to go back there too, arriving at the point where the original murderer is killed. It is here that Chris reveals that he is actually the Sweet Sixteen Killer in the present day, and it was he who killed Pam, not the same killer from 1987.
After committing his whole life to the subject of the killings, he wanted to make sure that Jamie did not erase the murders as this would impact his whole life.
Chris is eventually dispensed in a finale with Jamie who returns to the present day, and it is revealed that Chris ends up in a monastery in India.
