Will there be a Pact of Silence Season 2?

Mexican telenovela Pact of Silence, streaming on Netflix, is an eighteen-episode mystery thriller that follows the story of a social media influencer, Brenda, out for truth and revenge against four powerful women. However, after eighteen episodes of Brenda’s investigation into her own past, viewers are wondering if the story has come to a conclusion. So with that in mind, we are exploring the question of whether there will be a Pact of Silence Season 2.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

The show is directed by Carlos Villegas Rosales and written by José Vicente and has a mystery at its core. Brenda has had a tough time growing up after being left alone as a baby, and discovering that four private school kids seemed to be heavily involved with the situation.

Brenda grew up living on the streets but managed to find wealth and status through social media, becoming an influencer, and then deciding to find out the truth about her past in the hope of discovering who her biological mother was.

Renewed or Canceled Status: TBC

At the time of writing, there is no official confirmation of a second season of Pact of Silence.

However, it is still too early for the streaming platform to examine all the data that they need before green-lighting another season, so don’t lose hope yet if you are a fan.

Watch time and completion rates all need to be gathered before a recommission is granted, and if there is a huge demand, then another run might happen.

What might be worth noting, though, is that by the end of the current season, the story does come to a natural conclusion. A lot of the storylines are tied up, and the characters’ arcs come to an end, which may mean that there will not be another season. That’s just speculation, though.

In the show’s finale, we find Brenda discovering who her mom and dad are and that she has an extended family including siblings. She manages to find a way to process what happened in her past and manages to get over the internal trauma she developed, leading to her quest for vengeance.

She also manages to come to terms with what the four women did involving her birth, so it does seem that things are tied up. However, if another run is ordered, I have no doubt that the writers will be able to find some mileage with the premise and characters.
