Will there be a Season 4 of The Morning Show?

The Morning Show has already been renewed for Season 4. Given the enormous popularity of the Apple TV+ current affairs drama, this wasn’t a surprise when it was announced back before the premiere of Season 3. With the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes potentially delaying production of the series, there is little new information available at present, but we do know that Season 4 is definitely happening.

The Morning Show Season 4 is confirmed

Before the premiere of The Morning Show’s third season, Apple announced and Variety reported that the hit series would indeed be returning for a fourth season. This news comes as absolutely no surprise to anyone in the entertainment industry as the show continues to be the most-watched, top original series for Apple TV+.

When might The Morning Show Season 4 be released?

A release date for The Morning Show Season 4 has not yet been confirmed.

The show has released a season every other year, with Season 1 premiering in November 2019, Season 2 in September 2021, and Season 3 in September 2023. This would make a logical assumption for the Season 4 release date September 2025, although the delay in production stemming from the strikes may have pushed this timeline back slightly.

How did The Morning Show Season 3 end?

We broke down everything that happened in the Season 3 finale in detail, but here’s a quote from the very end that may affect the status quo of Season 4:

Season 3 of The Morning Show ends with Alex and Bradley heading to the FBI headquarters together. It would seem that Bradley is ready to turn herself in. She heads into the building with her brother Hal. It looks like they are finally about to admit to their crimes concerning the Capitol attack.

These events logically lead to some speculation about the returning cast for the series.

The Morning Show Season 4 cast speculation

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are set to reprise their roles and continue to serve as executive producers. However, their roles may change given the outcome of Season 3.

Since Alex and Paul broke up, it is likely that Jon Hamm will be absent from Season 4. He was one of several new actors in that season alongside Stephen Fry, Tig Notaro and Nicole Beharie. Season 4 would likely target some other big-name stars to play new roles, with the core cast returning in the same or perhaps a slightly limited capacity.

How has The Morning Show been received?

It’s not all plain sailing though. The series has received underwhelming reviews from critics throughout its history. I enjoyed the series and gave it 3.5/5. But on Rotten Tomatoes, Season 3 currently holds a score of 66%, which keeps dipping in and out of rotten territory, whilst the audience score is even lower still. Over on IMDb, the show has a rating of 8.2, which is a lot more promising.

But the show’s mammoth success cannot be denied. This is an entertaining series that continues to stay relevant and addictive even in its third season. The introduction of Jon Hamm this season has also spiced things up nicely and the show continues to go from strength to strength. There’s even talk of a fifth season, although nothing has been confirmed just yet.
