Summary

An exhilarating episode that contains some of the best fights and surprises of the season thus far.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has been full of surprises so far. From Geto’s reappearance to Gojo being sealed, it’s been a roller coaster of crazy events. Yet, nothing has been more shocking than Toni’s return, especially in Dagon’s domain. With him in the equation, it’s hard to predict what could happen in Episode 15. Likely, he’s only out for himself, but there’s a chance that he could become an ally if he learns his son is in the battle as well.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 15 Recap

The episode opens with Toji attempting to take Maki’s cursed tool, a pair of nunchucks known as Playful Cloud, from her. As she loses, she notes Toji’s lack of cursed energy, realizing he is just that strong. Only Naobito recognizes Toji.

Dagon disregards Toji as a threat due to his lack of cursed energy. However, his attack fails to land, allowing Toji to pummel him into a strong wave before they begin battling.

As the other sorcerers watch in awe, Maki wonders who is fighting Dagon. Nanami asks Megumi to hold out with his domain a little longer in hopes that Toji will be successful.

Who kills Dagon?

Using the sharpened edges of Playful Cloud, Toji manages to stab Dagon in the head before unleashing a barrage of deadly blows, exorcising the cursed spirit and releasing the group from its domain.

Toji suddenly tackles Megumi out of the window and onto the street as Jogo appears, setting Nanami, Naobito, and Maki on fire. He then senses Sukuna’s presence and deduces that someone has released his fingers in Shibuya.

Mimiko and Nanako feed Yuji one of Sukuna’s fingers to summon him. Jogo catches and attacks them before attempting to feed ten of Sukuna’s fingers to Yuji himself.

Sukuna suddenly awakens, forcing Jogo, Mimiko, and Nanako to bow. He then listens to the girl’s request as they ask him to kill the curse using Geto’s body.

How does Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 15 end?

The girls beg for Sukuna’s help, promising to tell him the location of another finger if he does. However, he quickly executes them both for disrespecting him.

Sukuna then asks Jogo what he wants, but he says nothing, as his only goal is resurrecting Sukuna. Hopefully, he now has enough time to forge a pact with Yuji before the teen takes control of his body back.

Although he has plans of his own, Sukuna challenges Jogo, saying if he can land one blow on him, he’ll work under Jogo’s group.

After the previous episode garnered a lot of backlash from fans regarding the animation style, Episode 15 really seemed to go above and beyond with the Toji versus Dagon fight. It was easily one of the most entertaining to watch so far, and that’s saying a lot when Nanami versus Haruta and Yuji versus Choso were also solidly executed battles.

This was another one of those episodes that was non-stop from beginning to end, making it easy to enjoy as you’re dialed in the entire time. From Toji’s battle to Sukuna’s reappearance, the villains only seem to be getting stronger. This deep into the season, it’s surprising to see more foes introduced, but so far, they’ve been great additions, truly upping the stakes and making the Shibuya Incident Arc one to remember.
