The latest two episodes set the stage for the big finale, with Shi-oh finally learning who Nam-soon really is and deciding to take violent revenge for being played.
The latest two episodes of Strong Girl Nam-soon Season 1 are all about setting the stage for the big finale, which was probably pretty obvious when Episodes 11 and 12 turned up the drama. The only big lingering matter was the fact that Shi-oh still didn’t know who Nam-soon was, but that’s a big part of the agenda in Episode 13 and Episode 14, and needless to say, he doesn’t take the news well.
Still, this lays the groundwork for the big confrontation with Nam-soon and her entire family (more or less) versus Shi-oh and co. So, that should be pretty exciting.

The events of the last two episodes are still strongly felt at the start of this one. Nam-soon and Hee-sik’s romance is a little undercut by Hee-sik’s grief over the loss of Deong-seok, so even though their connection is still clearly developing, there’s no chance of them getting a happily ever after anytime soon.
The big cliffhanger of Episode 12, you’ll recall, was Na-yeong being drugged by Shi-oh’s men. She’s now their operative, or so they hope, believing that she’ll do everything they say with threats to her sister as an incentive.
Hee-sik, meanwhile, continues to be chewed out by his superior for continuing to work with Geum-ju, and it’s a habit that he’s clearly happy to persist with, since vigilantes get more done. He and his team shift to extracurricular law enforcement, which is probably for the best. Korean officials being in Shi-oh’s pocket is a major point of contention and was a key factor in why the Geum-ju TV broadcast went down such a storm.
Speaking of Shi-oh, the first step in his master plan against Geum-ju is to go after her family, and he naively sends assassins to take out Joong-gan, which is obviously a terrible idea.
Throughout, Nam-soon continues to put herself at risk by playing both sides, copying data from Shi-oh’s phone, and getting information back to Hee-sik. She learns that the Doogo gets shipments from Taiwan and the Philippines on the 25th of every month.
How does Strong Girl Nam-soon Season 1 Episode 13 end?
This episode ends with Shi-oh finally figuring out – or more accurately being told – who Nam-soon actually is.
First, Shi-o is able to match Nam-soon’s number to Tsegseg’s via the boy she gave money to, and footage from her pulling people from the burning building finally confirms it. Shi-oh is furious to find out he has been played, but it’s a good motivator for some properly villainous business to come.

Shi-oh is livid after the revelations of the previous episode and plots some big plans – namely, murder.
Thankfully, his leverage of Na-young doesn’t amount to much, since Geum-ju is able to secure the safety of her sister, meaning that Na-young remains loyal and the broadcast goes ahead as planned. Shi-oh and Doogo are national news, and Hee-sik and his team are rehoused in a secret bunker beneath Geum-ju’s house where they can continue their off-the-books crusade in (relative) safety.
Hee-sik has some hurdles to navigate in this episode. Nam-soon pushes him to upload the lab video even if it comes at the expense of her cover, and leaking this kind of material isn’t the done thing for the police force. Judge Hwang and Prosecutor Moon are later arrested, and Hee-sik’s team seems to have found salvation in the new, sympathetic Commissioner General Lee Jeong-Sik, but let’s just say he’s not long for the world.
This brings us to Shi-oh’s maniac killing spree. Trying to fight fire with fire in the press doesn’t quite cut it, so he sets about trying to do as much damage as possible. He has Jun-hee kidnapped, but Joong-gan comes to the rescue as ever, however, he is able to off both Hwa-ja, who genuinely seemed to have turned her life around, and Judge Lee.
To add a bit of levity, this episode also brings Nam-soon’s adoptive Mongolian mother to Korea, and there’s a lot of family bonding to enjoy. There’s also a bit of funny crossed-wires business when Bong-go sees Geum-ju and Song Bread together and assumes they’re dating, getting all upset about it.
How does Strong Girl Nam-soon Season 1 Episode 14 end?
The second episode of the weekend ends with Shi-oh using Hwa-ja’s phone to taunt Nam-soon, telling her that he has killed Hwa-ja and is coming for her next.
Nam-soon is furious, but Shi-oh will be no minor adversary, setting up a very exciting final weekend.
