Summary
A thrilling build-up to what is sure to be a crazy season finale.
While Yuji has had many great allies in Jujutsu Kaisen, no one came in more clutch in Season 2 than Todo. Although they seemed to taste victory in the last episode, with the sudden appearance of an ally of his own, Mahito may not be as done as viewers thought he was. With the Shibuya Incident Arc slowly reaching its end, Episode 22 may be one of Yuji’s last chances to take out Mahito for good before he becomes too strong to handle.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 22 Recap
The episode opens with Panda searching for Kusakabe and finding him under some rubble. After seeing what Sukuna is capable of, Kusakabe implies he will be voting against saving Yuji’s life should it come to that.
Upon seeing Geto, Yuji charges him, demanding he give Gojo back. Geto attacks him using a catfish curse.
Mahito attempts to touch Geto but is instead captured and consumed by him.
Geto begins to explain Supreme Arts, also referred to as Maximum Techniques, which are a user’s most powerful innate cursed technique aside from their domain. For Geto, his Supreme Art, Uzumaki, allows him to combine all his curses to create a high-density blast.

Geto suddenly notices the presence of several students trying to ambush him, including Momo and Noritoshi. As he dodges one attack, he is almost sniped by Mai and then quickly blocks a hit from Miwa. He then attempts to hit Miwa with Uzumaki, but Kusakabe saves her.
Who is Kamo Noritoshi?
Kamo Noritoshi is an infamous 150-year-old sorcerer known for being one of the worst sorcerers in history. He is also the owner of the brain that is currently inhabiting Geto’s body.
After sensing Yuji’s death during their fight, Choso comes to see Yuji as his younger brother, as Choso can sense the death of his blood relatives. He then attacks Geto and Uraume using his blood manipulation.
How does Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 22 end?
Geto manages to get the upper hand, attacking with several cursed spirits. Still, Choso refuses to give up, buying Yuji, Panda, and Noritoshi time to attack all at once.
Uraume freezes Yuji and everyone else using an ice technique. He then attempts to kill Choso with ice, but Yuji saves him at the last second. When Uraume tries to kill them again, Yuki suddenly appears.
While season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen started on a very high note, I honestly wasn’t sure it could carry that same momentum throughout the entire season. Turns out, I had nothing to worry about as the last few episodes of this season have been just as good as ever.
I did not expect all of the characters to come together like this, but it’s fun seeing so many of them fighting in one scene for once. With almost everyone engaging in the same fight, it feels like the series is going to do something big for the finale.
Now that it’s near, I am not ready for this season to end, but I am curious to see how everything plays out and if they’re able to save Gojo by the end of it.
