Love on the Spectrum U.S. introduced us to Abbey and David in the first season of the show, and the pair have become a favorite pairing for fans of the series. With Season 2 dropping on Netflix and the show catching up with them, viewers were keen to learn the status of their relationship. Luckily, they seem to be thriving together and are another couple like Connor and Emily that proves the success and value of the format.

Are Abbey and David from Love on the Spectrum U.S. still together?

Everything indicates that the lovely couple is still together, and by the end of Season 1, when they spent Christmas together, David would ask Abby to be his girlfriend. Abbey said yes. A text script after the first season would reveal that “Abbey and David are still a couple. Their families have become close and they can’t wait to visit the lions of Africa together.”

After Season 1 ended, social media updates would also confirm the pair were still together. By Season 2, the couple are still an item and allowed the show to catch up with them and yes, they did have the holiday of a lifetime in Africa to see the lions.

Abbey and David’s Romantic Journey

The couple would meet on the first season of the show, and a date at the zoo would cement the fact that they both love animals, with David particularly interested in the lions. David would give Abbey a bracelet on the date and suggest a holiday to Africa sometime in the future.

The second date was also animal-themed, with the couple visiting an animal sanctuary, and David giving another gift to his date, this time an elephant-themed present, and a hat. This led to holding hands, a kiss on the cheek, and Abbey introducing David to her pet dog while going to the beach.

Abbey would invite David to spend Christmas together, and the African experience would come to fruition in 2022. It seems that this particular pairing is destined to succeed, and they both understand each other, making this beautiful television for fans of the show.

Abbey and David prove real success on Love on the Spectrum U.S. Season 2

It is easy for reviewers and commentators to be cynical and abrupt when dealing with reality TV shows, and as far as writing goes, these types of shows can be low-hanging fruit for writers to hang a few cheap jibes on, myself included. But every now and then a show like Love on the Spectrum presents a more grounded and thoughtful look at the world around us and reminds us that there is often more going on in real life than we get the chance to experience ourselves.

Gaining an insight into two beautiful people like Abbey and David can be life-affirming and spiritually elevating, reminding us that true love does exist and that sometimes we all need help in getting to where we need to be.
