Dr. Sleech and Dr. Klak are here to save the day in the Prime Video series The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy. In case you missed anything in the animated series, our recap of Season 1 details everything that went down in Episodes 1-8.

Episode 1 – “Sometimes Heads Break”
A potential case to cure anxiety has thrown Dr. Sleech and Dr. Klak for a loop. If they take on the case, it could become a deadly adventure or a potential loss of their license. Things quickly go awry on their first attempt of trying to combat the anxiety. But after back and forth over lunch, they devise a plan to use Klak’s brain to reel out the anxiety, though it also fails. During the transfer, a worm attempts to penetrate Klak’s brain before Sleech chops it off. Ultimately, Sleech saves the worm, which could help them get a grant, but also keeping it risks their lives.
Episode 2 – “The Land of Sex and Death”
Dr. Klak has to miss one of the saves because of her mom’s book signing. Her mom asks if she wants to be on the first episode of her show. As that happens, Sleech and Dr. Plowp have to ensure that the sex blob does not kill them. The couple fight over whether or not they should bring it home to explode or stay there. Amid their fighting, the blob begins manipulating their feelings, and each layer of themselves keeps coming off. Right before the final layer is set to come off, Klak comes to the rescue and saves them and the blob.
Episode 3 – “Tomorrow’s Death is Yesterday’s Problem”
Dr. Azel asks Dr. Klak and Dr. Sleech to perform an in-vasectomy, and they successfully complete the surgery. Klak and Sleech meet someone in a time loop, and she needs them to remove her time loop chip. The duo’s attempt to help her leads them to getting caught up in the loop. Unable to get out, the doctors head to Klak’s brother for help. Finally, they get the chip out safely. After their return, Sleech finds Dr. Plowp and kisses him.
Episode 4 – “The Curse of Orlosh”
The curse of Orlosh is a sexually transmitted disease that makes you acquire features like the person you get it from. The giver and the receiver of the disease both feel the effects of the curse. Dr. Plowp, Dr. Sleech, Dr. Klak, and Dr. Azel receive the disease. The four doctors set out to find a cure to help them get over it. Finally, they are able to overcome and cure the disease, but this leads to Klak and Dr. Azel breaking up. Klak and Sleech discover that the unkillable worm is pregnant.
Episode 5 – “Beef Sturgeon Sleech”
Dr. Sleech and Dr. Klak find their boss’s reviews of them, and Sleech realizes they called her controlling. Later, Sleech gets to be chief of the day, and everyone freaks out because she begins to control how they act. After a massive explosion, Sleech is overwhelmed with the number of people she must save. Sleech turns her coat in because she feels she has failed everyone. The unkillable worm gives birth to a baby but dies in the process.
Episode 6 – “That’s Science, Baby!”
Dr. Klak works on a patient whom Dr. Sleech isn’t allowed to help with, so Sleech heads on a road trip with Matt. Along the way, he starts to glow green and crashes. The duo ends up okay when they head to an amusement park to help people, but Matt passes out. We discover that Matt was supposed to hibernate and didn’t, so that’s why he is glowing green, and his health isn’t what it usually is. Although she struggles at first, Klak is able to wake the patient and fix them.

Episode 7 – “Just One More Adjustment”
Dr. Sleech and Dr. Plowp are trying to adapt to being friends after they broke up. Klak decides to put the dangerous worm inside her brain. She realizes that all of her anxiety has gone away because the worm feeds off of the anxiety. Although it hurts her, she starts to realize the benefits. Sleech helps get the worm out of her brain using one of their tools so they can continue to do more research. Sleech and Klak discover that the worm that gave birth is still alive.
Episode 8 – “Apocalypse Got You Down?”
Klak and Sleech find themselves locked up after the giant worm is on the loose, destroying the city. After breaking free, Klak and Sleech plan to take down the worm and save the galaxy. The plan doesn’t go as expected, but after discovering what is wrong with the giant worm, they realize how they can potentially cure anxiety. Finally, after performing the surgery and successfully helping with anxiety, Dr. Klak and Dr. Sleech are given the grant they were after.
