WARNING: THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS

You could have predicted the ending of Through My Window 3: Looking At You about five minutes into the first movie. Do Raquel and Ares end up together? Yes, of course they do. Is their relationship needlessly tested along the way by Ares’s family and various other circumstances? Yes, of course it is. Does Raquel ever close her window? No, readers, no, she does not.

The third – and blessedly final – film in the trilogy begins with Raquel and Ares in relationships with other people, but while Raquel is able to get rid of Green Flag Gregory pretty easily by making it totally obvious she’s still in love with her ex, Ares and Vera struggle since their union is vital to the businesses of their respective families. So, Raquel and Ares carry on in secret until everything comes to a head towards the end, when it’s time for serious decisions to be made.

What happens at the New Year’s dinner?

Most of the key plot threads come together at a joint New Year’s dinner with both families. Ares is ready to convince Vera that they should end their sham relationship since both of them are in love with other people. She suggests that they just pretend to be together to keep their families happy, but Ares rightly points out that this is ridiculous, and Vera eventually agrees.

However, Vera can’t bring herself to confess this to her father, so she tries to keep up the illusion and hopes Ares plays along. He doesn’t, though, instead just mysteriously apologizes to everyone and leaving.

Artemis Finally Chooses Himself

At the same dinner, Artemis gets word that Claudia has been rushed into the hospital. She’s having the baby, but her health isn’t good and she’s at risk. He wants to leave and be there for her, but his father tries to talk him into staying so that the business deal isn’t threatened (this is dumb since would anyone be offended that he left dinner to attend the birth of his child?).

Thankfully, Artemis finally decides to live his own life, and he leaves for the hospital, where he finds all of Claudia’s family.

Why does Anna drug Raquel?

At the publisher’s party, Anna spots a message from Ares on Raquel’s phone and impulsively decides to drug her drink with her antidepressants. This isn’t like a well-thought-out scheme or anything, just a sudden way to lash out. Anna still blames Raquel for Yoshi’s death – even though it’s absolutely not her fault – and clearly can’t stand to see her have a happy ending.

Anna regrets this action immediately since Raquel wants to leave to meet with Ares at the cemetery, which as we all know is where all romantic dates take place (it’s a throwback to the first film, I know.) However, Raquel isn’t listening, necks her drink, and ends up collapsing in the house.

Do Apolo and Victor end up together?

At the same party, Victor, who Apolo has been carrying on with, somewhat hilariously just decides to get back with his ex right in front of Apolo. So, no, Apolo does not end up with Victor. Instead, he crawls back to Daniela who forgives him instantly.

Do Raquel and Ares die?

Through My Window 3’s ending builds up to a Romeo & Juliet moment that you can tell exists entirely to facilitate a nice aerial shot of the couple seemingly dead in each other’s arms, but of course, it’s a fake-out and both survive.

Here’s how we get there: Ares, now the godfather of Artemis’s child, is heartbroken that Raquel didn’t meet him at the cemetery and is going to return to Stockholm. However, on the way to the airport, he gives Raquel one last call, and she answers with incomprehensible moaning that he immediately intuits means she’s in danger. Since he visited her house earlier and her mother told him that she hadn’t returned home from the publisher’s party, he knows she’s still at the house, so he tracks the place down and breaks in to save her.

Of course, Raquel just so happens to topple into the pool as Ares arrives. He dives in and saves her, dragging her to the side to perform CPR before he eventually succumbs to his severe chlorine allergy.

Five Days Later

Ares wakes up, alive but confused, and immediately tracks down Raquel, also alive, in the hospital. Claudia has been accepted into the Hidalgo family, and the business with Vera’s family went ahead despite her and Diego now being officially together. It’s funny how much can happen in a few days, isn’t it?

Anna’s book, which is dedicated to Yoshi, is a rip-roaring success, but she won’t be writing any more. After spending so much time trying to figure love out, she intends to just enjoy it now. Anna apologizes for drugging her and Raquel forgives her, and they both leave a copy of the book at Yoshi’s memorial.

How does Through My Window 3: Looking At You end?

The movie ends five years later. Ares and Raquel are together and have just moved in with each other. The kids are growing up, the families are getting on, and all is well. Thankfully, this means we shouldn’t have to sit through any more of these movies.
