Summary

The Completely Made-up Adventures of Dick Turpin sends us on a fun adventure where The Essex Gang keep us laughing with how bad they are at robbing people.

The Essex Gang robbed a stagecoach full of gold in Episode 3 of The Completely Made-up Adventures of Dick Turpin. The gang doesn’t know that the gold they stole was Jonathan Wilde’s. With his boss giving him orders, Wilde must hunt down Dick Turpin and his gang to retrieve the gold, or his life will be in jeopardy. It’s another fun adventure in a lively Season 1.

We kick off with Dick Turpin and the Essex Gang robbing a stagecoach, and he is asking the crew he is robbing how he can improve himself as a robber. At a roundtable, we see Jonathan Wilde with his crew, and it’s announced that one of the coaches with their stolen gold was robbed. Lady Helen informs Wilde that it happened in his backyard, and if he doesn’t find out who did it, she will have him killed.

Where does the Essex Gang go to sell the gold?

The team is trying to figure out what to do with the gold because they need to sell it and make lots of money. With lots of uncertainty about where to go, Dick comes up with the idea of going to Honesty’s homeland of England to sell the gold.

As the crew finds a buyer for the gold, Jonathan Wilde arrives to trap the Essex Gang. He orders Dick to bring him to the gold, or he will kill Honesty. Before they can go, Gow arrives to tell Wilde that Dick will come with him. Gow plans to kill Wilde and take his place, but Sandra arrives to say she wants Dick for herself.

A gunfight ensues, and Wilde handcuffs Dick to himself, and the two run from Sandra and Gow until they find themselves trapped in between them. The duo takes shots at them, but Dick and Wilde jump into the water to escape them. While Dick and Wilde are together, the rest of the Essex Gang find Christopher, Wilde’s son, and attempt to reunite with their respective crew.

Who dies in “Run Wilde?”

Wilde and Dick stumble into an underground fight club where Wilde believes he knows where to go to find some clippers to cut off the handcuffs. However, the man who runs the operation and Wilde have a past, leading to him making Wilde and Dick fight to the death against Jack “Iron Fist” Broughton. The fight ends quickly when he attacks the duo, and they use the chains to clothesline him, killing him.

Now that Dick and Wilde are free from the madness, Dick takes him to return his gold to Wilde. However, Sandra arrives to stop them, but she ends up dead after the bookcase falls on her. Moments later, Wilde turns the gun on Dick, saying he will kill him and keep the gold for himself.

The Essex Gang arrives and utilizes Christopher as a hostage, which works, sending Wilde back to Lady Helen empty-handed. She informs Wilde that he can never again participate in any criminal activity in this country.
