What will Tokyo Vice Season 2 Episode 8, “The Noble Path”, be about?
“The Noble Path” will follow Jake’s successful trip to the United States in Season 2 Episode 7, which helps set the case in a new direction. However, as they are inching closer to Tozawa, Detective Katgiri and Nagata are thrown a massive wrench in their case.
With Jake bringing back valuable information from the United States, Detective Katagiri and Nagata are preparing to finally take down Tozawa. The synopsis mentions the plan being disrupted, which means we could see some information leaking to Tozawa, and he pulls strings to shut them down. We know that Tozawa has people in every department, and with the detectives closing in, it only makes sense that he finds out about it and does something.
What will Jake do with the information he has?
Jake has all the keys to take down Tozawa after discovering he was able to go into the United States and get the surgery even though his visa was suspended. The pressure will be on Jake to produce some results with this information from Katagiri. However, if Tozawa finds out about the detectives on his tail, we can certainly expect to meet Jake and Tozawa. I predict that Tozawa will threaten Jake in the next episode to shut down his chase or risk the ones he loves.
What is Sato’s next move?
Since Ishida’s passing, Hayama has taken charge of the Chihara-kai and has been quite reckless. Sato attempted to confront Hayama, which led to his banishment from the Chihara-kai. We know this won’t be the last of Sato, especially when he finds out that Hayama will attempt to use his brother to assert his dominance in the war against Tozawa. A massive confrontation between Sato and Hayama is coming, and we will be in for a treat when it does.
Who is directing “The Noble Path?”
So far this season, we have had each director direct two episodes back to back. Alan Poul directed Episode 1 and Episode 2, Josef Kubota Wladyka directed Episode 3 and Episode 4, and Takeshi Fukunaga directed Episode 5 and Episode 6. Veteran TV director Eva Sørhaug, known for her work in series like Yellowjackets, Your Honor, and Witch Hunt, is directing Episode 8. This is also the only episode of the season she will direct.
