The Essex Gang find themselves in a new rivalry in Episode 5 of The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin, set to debut on March 22. The gang has been on a hot streak of overcoming everything thrown their way and heading into the next episode, we have quite a few theories of what might happen.

What will The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin Episode 5 be about?
The official synopsis of Episode 5, “Tommy Silversides”, reads:
“Rivalry ensues as a new highwayman bursts onto the scene and challenges Dick to battle. Lady Helen reenters the fold by making a massive offer to the Essex Gang.”
We know that Lady Helen hasn’t forgotten about the gold the Essex Gang stole from her, and we knew she would be back at some point. Of course, with Jonathan Wilde out of the picture, Lady Helen must bring someone new into the fold to steal from the stagecoaches. Enter Dick Turpin. I predict we will see Lady Helen make a substantial offer to Turpin and the Essex Gang which will include them working for her and getting a huge cut of the robberies.
The biggest question will be whether Turpin accepts the offer. If the Essex Gang hears about the offer I could see them jumping to accept for the stability that might come with the deal. However, we’ve seen in the past Turpin isn’t a big fan of working for or with others outside of the group. It could be something that may drive a wedge in the gang, but either way, it will be something worth keeping an eye out for in the final two episodes.
Who is the highwayman that will take on Turpin?
From this week’s synopsis, we already know that there is a new man in town that will challenge Dick Turpin, but who might it be? Well, from the episode title being Tommy Silversides, I would assume that is his name. Of course, we’ve had some challenges in the past, but nothing has been as fun as watching Turpin go toe to toe with someone who is as goofy as him.
Who will play Tommy Silversides?
Upon doing my research, I found out that Connor Swindells would be playing Tommy Silversides, which only made me more excited to check out this week’s episode. Where have you seen Swindells before? He starred as Adam Groff in the Netflix series Sex Education.
