Who is Jennifer Pan’s Father and Where is He Now?
Jennifer Pan’s father, Huei Hann Pan, is originally of Hoa descent from Vietnam and would emigrate to Canada to start a new and better life for himself and his family. He met and married Bich Ha Pan, and they had two children, Jennifer and Felix Pan.
Both parents would find work and strive towards living a normal life in their new home. The terrible events that occurred saw Huei’s wife shot and murdered, but he survived. Although in a coma, he recovered and testified to the police what he saw that fateful night.
Huei has lost his wife and daughter over the case and has left the home where the attacks happened, saying he could no longer live there. He would also say that due to the public nature of the case, it was impossible to sell the house, as people knew what had happened there.
Understandably, he is avoiding the media glare, and trying to live a quiet life. He has a lifetime no-contact act in place that keeps him legally separate from his daughter and is trying to live a completely new life divorced from the terrible crime.
What happened to Jennifer Pan’s Father and how did he survive?

Jennifer’s father had retired to bed early that evening, around 8.30 pm. Police would report that Jennifer left the door of the family home open before texting the hired killers to arrive.
Jennifer would go to her bedroom and the three men, including her boyfriend Daniel Wong, would enter the house and begin the attack. After his wife was shot and killed in front of him, Huei was shot in the face, but miraculously he survived and was placed into a medically induced coma as doctors worked to save his life.
The judge at Jennifer Pan’s trial would say that the man had only survived the shooting through “sheer luck”. When he recovered, he would give the details of what he saw, including damning testimony that although she was reportedly tied up to during the attack, Jennifer was seen by her father talking to one of the killers, her hands unbound.

The attack Jennifer orchestrated was meant to result in the death of both her parents, and sadly her mother, who was shot in the head at point-blank range while begging her killer not to hurt her daughter, did not survive.
It is miraculous that Jennifer’s father was able to escape the same fate, but the fact he did was instrumental in getting to the bottom of what really happened.
