A relatively big deal was made of Rowan, Moira, Cortland, and Lark making their way to Scotland for what one assumes will be a confrontation with Ian Mayfair and the rest of the pagan side of the family.

I’ve been a vocal critic of Mayfair Witches Season 2 and, to be fair, I still think it’s a bit rubbish. But Episode 5, “The Thrall”, was okay!

The most interesting thing that happens in Episode 4 of Mayfair Witches Season 2 happens at the very end, and then “Double Helix” ends before doing anything with it.

“Ten of Swords” lacks most of the gothic atmosphere that the premiere was able to create, and instead settles into an odd rhythm of concurrent storylines, some real and some more esoteric, none of which are especially interesting.

Despite being popular enough to secure Season 2, little adjustment seems to have been made between seasons to iron out some of the issues.
