Editorial / Corrections Policy
At Ready Steady Cut, we strive to provide our readers with accurate, reliable reviews, recaps, insights, and articles. We’ve been covering movies, television, and entertainment independently for a decade and have built up a loyal and dedicated group of readers. We’re primarily based in the United Kingdom but have authors worldwide, including the United States of America.
We believe in transparency and accountability and understand that mistakes can happen despite our best efforts. When they do, we are committed to correcting them quickly and transparently.
Reporting Errors
Readers who spot a factual error are encouraged to bring it to our attention. You can report an error via our contact page or email directly to the Editor-in-Chief of the website – dan@readysteadycut.com. Please provide as much detail as possible about the error, including the URL of the article in question and any supporting evidence or information.
Review Process
Once an error is reported, our editorial team will review it. If the error is confirmed, we will make the necessary corrections quickly and, if necessary/requested, include a corrections notice at either the top or bottom of the article.
Correction Procedure
Corrections will be made directly in the article where the error occurred. A note may be added to the article detailing the sentence, the date it was corrected, and a brief description of the original error. In cases where the error is significant or affects the overall understanding of the story, an editor’s note may be added at the beginning of the article, or the article may be removed entirely.
Retractions
In extreme cases where an article is found to be fundamentally flawed or misleading, it will be retracted immediately and removed from various search engine indexes and across our social pages. A retraction post will be included on our social media.
Author Bylines
Every article is published with clear author bylines and links to their respective biographies. We also list social accounts and email contact addresses where available. Every team member on the site is vetted, ensuring they have the required expertise.
A list of all team members contributing to published work at Ready Steady can be found here.
AI and Plagiarism
Ready Steady Cut does not use AI or GPTs (or any alternatives, i.e., Grok, Co-Pilot) to write articles. We have a strict zero-tolerance policy; all articles are written for and by humans.
Ready Steady Cut does not engage in or tolerate plagiarism. We have a strict zero-tolerance policy if anyone on our staff has been found guilty of such an offense. Should you see examples of plagiarism, articles will be removed in their entirety if proven.
Commitment to Integrity
We are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of journalistic integrity. Our correction policy is a testament to our commitment to truth, accuracy, and readers.
