The Bar taking control of the firm is probably the best thing that has ever happened to Suits. Forcing our favorite lawyers to toe the line, and fear for their jobs and their license puts the series in a whole different category of story. The first course of action by Faye Richardson (Denise Crosby), the woman who has been given the power to take control temporarily, is to take down Zane’s name off the wall. Samantha is fuming.
And to make matters worse, Faye wants Donna to bring in Thomas Kessler for an exit interview. “Special Master” sees Donna and Harvey sweating over what Thomas might say that has got them into this mess in the first place. Harvey speaks to Thomas, and he agrees not to leave as their client.
As for Samantha, she is concerned about an old friend from the military — a man named Lucas. He claims to have been fired due to nepotism, but it’s clear as Episode 2 progresses that he is suffering from an extreme form of PTSD.
The person reacting the worst to the firm’s temporary takeover is Louis, who decides to ask developer Benjamin to hack into the Bar’s bylaws to find a way to remove Faye Richardson. “Special Master” sees his control seep away from him, and his firm becoming less about his identity.
